i like it.

This was my first tuner that i have bought. the ease of install is great. if you use the little pamflit that comes with it you will be up and running in less than 5 min. before you start messing with all the nice features this has i recommend that you read the manual. i have noticed a killer throttle response and my shift points make more since. haven't noticed that much of a MPG increase yet but with any upgrades your foot seams to be heavier on the long pedal to test what you have.

2005 GTO Out-of-the-box Results

Reviewed By Brent E (Omaha, NE) Reviewed for a 2005 Pontiac GTO —9/8/2009 8:16 AM

I bracket race my car at an 1/8 mile track and had a race Saturday and Sunday at the same track and very similar weather conditions. The stock tune was used the first night with a best of 8.970 and 80.26 mph. I put in the 91 octane performance tune the next day and ran a best of 8.714 and 83.67 mph. I am very happy with the performance increase. There is also a data logging feature that looks very good for fine tuning. I watched some of the log but haven't tuned using it yet. One disappointment that would only affect a few buyers is that I believe the fan setting is incorrect for my car. My car has 2-stage fans that turn on and off at specific temperatures. Apparently some 2005 GTO's had variable speed fans that operate at a percent of full power at different temperatures. The tuner is set for the variable fans. By researching forums on the internet and trial and error, I found settings that would start the fans at 199 degrees. I wanted it cooler so I also found settings that would run the fans on low all the time and that keeps the temp down to 194 at idle with my stock thermostat.
