"Did what it said it would but shifts very hard on the superchips value shift pressure, ended up taking it off because i could smell the clutch heating up doing my daily driving." —Ryan C from Muscatine, IA bought a Superchips Cortex Programmer for a 2004 Pontiac GTO.
"The shift firmness is amazing. It chirps the tires in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd,with the traction control on!All on the Superchips settings.Perfect compliment to my SLP MAF,intake, and muffler delete exhaust.Takes only a few minutes to program!Wonderful!Nevermind the fact it was the absolute lowest price anywhere." —John R from Covington, LA bought a Superchips Cortex Programmer for a 2004 Pontiac GTO.
"All the horsepower, none of the carbs. The Superchips tuner is a big step in letting the GTO owner make changes to the car to eliminate annoyances (e.g. skip shift feature) and improve on the compromises GM saw fit to bake into their product. Ease of use is 'super' and the tuner also lets the owner investigate trouble codes should they occur. Every GTO owner could benefit from owning a SuperChips tuner." —Joe T from Bowling Green, KY bought a Superchips Flashpaq Tuner for a 2004 Pontiac GTO, 5.7L V8.
"If you want a cheap way to add more power, the cortex is the way to go. I have an A4 "automatic" and it still breaks loose in 2nd gear. Spinning the tires at 40 mph. The gear changes are faster and more smooth, it adds a lot of torque. Overall a good value. The only downside is that there's not many options on there tune for add ons. The only thing the tune covers is a cold air intake. It doesn't have options for headers w/ high flow cats, or a catback system." —Shane F from Minneapolis, MN bought a Superchips Cortex Programmer for a 2004 Pontiac GTO.
"My 2004 GTO has never run better! This product is very easy to install and use. Programming from start to finish took about 15 minutes, and I had never used a programmer before! I took out the annoying 1-4 skip shift, upped my speed limiter to 169 mph to match my W-rated tires, and performed a Stage One tune. The car is smoother than ever. I haven't done any timed runs yet, but my seat-of-the-pants impression is that power is better throughout the entire rpm band, and the engine doesn't run out of breath all the way to redline. I have a cold-air intake and 3-inch Borla exhaust. According to the instructions, a Stage Two tune would require a colder thermostat, in addition to the upgrades I already have, and a Stage Three tune would require headers. Personally, I feel the Stage One tune is just right for me. And gas mileage doesn't suffer in the least!" —Mark P from Oro Valley, AZ bought a Jet Performance Programmer for a 2004 Pontiac GTO, 5.7L LS1 V8.
"this programmer doesit all with ease.also superchips tech service was very helpful when setting my computer for updates.great product.my 2004 GTO has much more power and the torque increase is great." —Daniel D from Lyons, NY bought a Superchips Cortex Programmer for a 2004 Pontiac GTO.
