Performance plus!

Reviewed By David W (Edneyville, NC) Reviewed for a 2008 Saturn Sky —4/1/2011 2:45 AM

I installed the Max Energy Programer on my 2006 Chevy P/U - I have the "B" motor, the 5.3L HO and had already installed an S&B cold air box, Jegs Mass air flow sensor, performance single exhaust and 4:10 gears. Installation was a breeze and took aboiut 10 minutes. The truck was already a great performer and the improvement was immediate. I had firmed up the transmission shifts 50%, and set it up for regular gas. Acceleration improvement was crisp, over and above from what the truck already was and shifts were firm but not harsh. Fuel economy went from 17 MPG to 18.9 MPG average at freeway speeds of 65 MPH. Truck is now very much on steroids and is a real sleeper!

Since I installed the CAI, SIDO exhaust, Larger tires... I wanted to adjust for speedo & Odometer. Also wanted shift points adjusted. This device did all I needed. I was not looking for custom tuning. I am very satisfied with the results

Fantastic capability

Reviewed By Kenneth W (SAN ANTONIO, TX) Reviewed for a 2009 Ford F-250 —5/12/2015 6:09 AM

I've noticed an increase in mpg of about 2-3% in the Mileage XS Saver programming with my truck which translates to about 20 miles per tank more than the stock program. I will say that the 87 Octane program has noticeable changes over the stock program. My truck has the 5.4L with the 3.73 rear end. I am running a K&N cold-air intake with an Airaid PowerAid throttle body spacer. In the Performance program I have trouble keeping my foot out of the accelerator because of the increases!
