ScanGauge OBD II Scanner Reviews

Perfect for my needs!

There's nothing worse in my mind than discovering a problem when an idiot light goes on because it's usually too late to prevent the problem.mThat's where the Scan Gauge II comes in handy for me. Now I can monitor my transmission and engine temps hauling my popup camper on road trips. Combine that with the ability to pull codes and clear them it's indispensable in my book. Already love the readouts and have had a couple friends buy one after seeing mine in action. There are cheaper alternatives but this is a case of getting what you pay for.

Perry

Very easy installation. Virtually no information is contained in the packing to let you know the differences between the tow/economy and performance mode. Also there is no adjustment for tire size or other options. For $550.00 there should be more than just two modes. Put in on and went from 16 mpg to 21 instantly with over 19 mpg when towing 5300 lb boat.

Edge Insight CTS2 Monitor Reviews

Nice, but not perfect.

Reviewed By Jeff S (LONGMONT, CO) Reviewed for a 2008 Dodge Ram —7/9/2015 8:56 PM

My main concern is monitoring my truck while pulling up to 14k lbs. I like to monitor engine coolant, transmission fluid and the regen system. I bought mine to replace an MSD Dashhawk. The DH has a small display but a large number of variables that could be displayed. I would display 4 variables at one time, at most. By comparison, the Insight CTS2 can easily display up to 9 variables at a time. Unfortunately, it is limited in the available variables by comparison, regen specifically.
