Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator Reviews

Expensive but it works

Reviewed By Alex G (Marana, AZ) Reviewed for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma —2/4/2013 9:01 AM

Considering that I paid $45 for a performance chip that saves me about 2MPGs and increased my HP by about 15%, it's hard to believe that a speedometer calibrator can cost 4 times as much for the simple task that it's designed for. That being said, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Installation: depending on your vehicle, you may have to remove the entire dashboard to install it. Not a huge deal but you would think that in 2013 someone would have thought of an OBD2 port compatible device.

Works great

Installed the scangaugeII on my 2011 Toyota Tacoma and it works great. Install was a snap and setup was easy. I have it configured to monitor transmission temps and fuel economy for use when towing a travel trailer.

Very Impressed

Reviewed By Jas G (Sumas, WA) Reviewed for a 2006 Toyota Tacoma —12/22/2010 9:11 PM

Saw some review videos on Youtube and could not believe that there is no lag in information. Clears and shows you MEL or engine light codes. Installed it under the cupholder in my Toyota Tacoma, only thing you see is my iPhone:)
