Banks AutoMind Programmer Customer Reviews

Got an itch to transform your sluggish gas pedal into a lethal weapon? Forget about bolting on expensive blowers, turbo kits and intercoolers. There's an easier way to crank your ride's performance up to 11, and it's called the Banks AutoMind Programmer.
Instead of making your motor work harder, the Banks AutoMind tuner allows it to work smarter by replacing the limited factory programming with one of its sophisticated tunes. Just plug it in, pick a tune, and buckle up because your ride has just become a lot more exciting. You can pick between a power, towing, sport, and economy mode depending on whether you're hot-lapping around town, hauling a cord of wood up to your cabin or trying to cut down at the pump. Plus, you can plug in your AutoMind and change tunes anytime.
Beyond the preconfigured tunes, the Banks AutoMind also lets you customize key settings. Adjust your rev limiter, recalibrate your speedometer, tweak the cooling fan, modify your shift points and more—the possibilities are limitless. And, your Banks AutoMind Programmer doubles as a full-service diagnostic tool, reading and clearing fault codes right in your driveway instead of at the mechanic's. It's also backed by a 1-year warranty.
Thanks to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act: US Code – Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312, your vehicle’s factory warranty is protected by law when you add aftermarket parts. Details

Didn't need all of the extras, just wanted to increase performance. Didn't change any limits, etc. Performance is great. This was phase 3. Started with 4 1/2" turbo back and added Banks Ram intake. All I need. Good deal. Totally satisfied.

The update software was a little tricky to install, I had all windows 8 computers at the time and the software wouldn't download to it. I ended up plugging the tuner in and updating it at a later date but it still worked great. Install was fantastic and simple. I have only used the sport 87 and the economy 87 which are both great tunes. The truck was more fun to drive on both tunes (even in economy it still pulled hills). Overall a great buy and would recommend it again!

This made my HHR SS CRAZY FAST!! Second gear will nail you to the seat and light up the tires in 2nd by only hammering gas! This vehicle was already awesome, but now I have the power of a C4 vette in a great sleeper! Blows Hemi Challengers, Mousestangs, Holden Goats and new Camaro's away!! Love that Banks started covering gas engines! This puts a Hyper Tech or Superchips to shame!! Best upgrade money I have spent. Figured they new their stuff with TURBO's and BOY was I right

I have a 2005 6.0L diesel with a banks cold air intake. Everything would pass me when lights turned green. I got the auto mind looking to wake up the truck. Of course, I set the truck to super sport (the highest tune level) when I first received the programmer. I jump end on the throttle hard at the first green light. The turbo spooled right up, smoked the tires thru third gear, and no one was within a half mile when I looked back. Yeah, it woke up alright.

After I installed a custom tune. I lost transmission shift indicter on dash. Emailed them after several emails back and forth. Was informed I pretty much had to live with it. They stated it was a rare problem. But on Powerstroke forum it is a very common occurrence. I like the tuner. I have increased MPG local about 1.8 and highway pulling a trailer about 1.1 mpg.

Good Power, love how the trans shifts now with the changes. The option to disable the torque management really helps. Don't like how you can't change tire size is probably the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating

I got one for my 05 jeep wrangler unlimited. I was a little disappointed in that not all the engine options were available for my jeep because it's not a Rubicon however the settings that it does have work great! Lots of horsepower and VERY easy to use.
