Hypertech Max Energy Programmer Reviews

Instant results, extremely easy to use.

Main reason for my purchase was to give my 2007 Chevy Avalanche a little kick when either accelerating from a dead stop or getting onto a freeway. Being only a 4 speed, I noticed my Avalanche "lagged", for a lack of a better word, when getting onto a freeway and trying to accelerate to freeway speeds. I wasn't expecting a huge boost, but I definitely noticed an increase in power when I put the pedal down. Fuel economy stayed the same if not increased, highly recommend this product.

Not what I expected!

Reviewed By Willard J (CEDAR HILL, TX) Reviewed for a 2007 Chevy Avalanche —3/26/2015 5:03 AM

Received the unit quickly, as I always do when ordering from AutoAnything. Reviewed the instructions to ensure I didn't screw up my ECU. Waited a few days before installing a new program. The installation was very simple and straight forward. The third day after the upload my truck started running rough and I started to get "Stabilitrak" and "Traction Control" errors. I had to pull over and program back to stock. Still had the same engine and alert issues. Took my truck to my trusted mechanic. It's now been a week, and it will be $4,000 to repair my engine. Trying to determine if the new program also uploaded a virus. Mechanic advised that to change the programing, it takes a more sophisticated unit.

Edge Evolution Programmer Reviews

not good

Reviewed By Bobby C (Oneonta, AL) Reviewed for a 2007 Chevy Avalanche —4/28/2014 6:10 AM

Purchase the unit and it smoked the BCM in my truck I have spent an addition $ 900.00 to get my truck on the road not including rentals and Edge offers to pay $ 300.00 because they don't agree with the dealer... I think its a shame that companies operate this way and do not stand behind their products.. I would not recommended Edge for nothing.. be very truck was never down or not running until Edges unit was plugged in.. again be very careful with the Company that you purchase from.
