It's okay and works as intended. 5.3 chevy

87 octane tune does seem to open up some power. 87 Tune has VERY hard shifts. Had to contact customer service. (Great customer service -Mike) He sent me a custom tune to fix that. 91 octane tune had very little difference compared to the 87. My truck was running rich with 91 tune using 91 octane fuel. Switched over to 87 running great! I input the actual size of my tires and it set my speedo -5. Very inaccurate. Had to adjust size to calibrate it. Autoanything has the best price for intune. Thnx

Not what I expected!

Reviewed By Willard J (CEDAR HILL, TX) Reviewed for a 2007 Chevy Avalanche —3/26/2015 5:03 AM

Received the unit quickly, as I always do when ordering from AutoAnything. Reviewed the instructions to ensure I didn't screw up my ECU. Waited a few days before installing a new program. The installation was very simple and straight forward. The third day after the upload my truck started running rough and I started to get "Stabilitrak" and "Traction Control" errors. I had to pull over and program back to stock. Still had the same engine and alert issues. Took my truck to my trusted mechanic. It's now been a week, and it will be $4,000 to repair my engine. Trying to determine if the new program also uploaded a virus. Mechanic advised that to change the programing, it takes a more sophisticated unit.

Exactly what I wanted

Reviewed By Ned R (Granbury, TX) Reviewed for a 2007 Chevy Avalanche —2/20/2015 9:23 AM

My 07 Avalanche is used for most of our travel as well as pulling our 21' travel trailer. I was very disappointed in the Avalanche power above 50 mph. The programmer has allowed me to pull the trailer about 10 mph faster and has increased my fuel mileage by 1 mpg. I did also add a K&N air intake. Now pulling the trailer is pretty easy. I also get improved mileage around town.
