I have owned my 2012 Chevy Tahoe for approximately two years. During that time, I have almost been involved in a few accidents because of the throttle delay. My research showed that it was the AFM system that was causing it. The Hypertech programmer removed the AFM programming and my acceleration was immediately improved. O-60 time decreased from 11.5 to 8.99. Gas mileage increased slightly (3-5 mpg). I was preparing to sell the Tahoe, but now I am going to keep it.
Does what It says
Was looking to firm up my transmission shift points and disable the Active fuel Management system, This unit allows that to happen. I wish the instructions were a bit more specific as to what every setting can and will do, but I guess I'll figure it all out eventually. The performance tune is a noticeable difference from your stock tune but again I wish I had more details about the tune itself.
I have been running the Jet on my '97 Dodge Ram with 5.9l. I had previously added a Holley TB, Venom Injectors, Spectre CAI, Accel coil, Gibson shorties with Flowmaster, and some new oxygen sensors. Called Jet, and they could not recommend the installation. Works great however, best with premium, but I have run 89 octane without pinging. Stoker!
