Hypertech Interceptor Tuner Customer Reviews

Your Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep is not a Prius. Where the wheezing of hybrid acceleration is acceptable to those who fill their rear window with stuffed animals, you own rough–and–tumble American iron with one thing in mind—burning rubber. For you, a real hybrid is a mixture of right foot and floorboard. But, for reasons unknown, factory programming turns the mighty Hemi, and unstoppable Jeep, into weenie city cars suitable for hauling groceries. Now, for Hemi and Jeep owners, the wait for better performance is finally over.
Living up to its name, the Hypertech Interceptor hijacks the factory programming and corrects it in real–time. The result is an immediate boost in horsepower, torque, throttle response and fuel economy. Installation is quick, easy and leaves your diagnostic port open.
Whether you're tearing up the streets or bounding over boulders, the Hypertech Interceptor is your key to unlocking your ride's true potential. And, to ensure the fun never ends, the Interceptor is backed by a Lifetime Warranty.

I have used Hypertech products on all of my P/U trucks in the past and have experienced the same great results. The car seems to just want to go now. I really notice it the most at take off. I pull a trailer and the tuner added life to my car.

I installed this tuner immediately prior to my K&N Cold Air Intake so that I could determine any "incremental change". The installation took about an hour due to the recommended "involved" routing of the Interceptor wires. Also, there is a component that needs to be installed just above the accelerator pedal, behind the dashboard. This 67-year old had to rely on his 33-year old son for the gymnastics involved. Following the complete installation, I test drove the vehicle and noticed an immediate power increase; I look forward to towing my 30' travel trailer to see how much towing power improvement I gained. This tuner was definitely worth the money (and the installation time)!

Only check mileage after 1 fill up since I intalled the Interceptor and it appears I may be getting about a mile/gallon increase in fuel economy (~14.7 mi/gal combined city/highway). Need to fill up several more times to confirm this. Definitely shifts smoother. I'm also running 35X12.5X18 Toyo Open Country ATII tires with a ProComp 6" lift and a magnaflow 3" exhaust. Note that I orginally only got 15.0 mi/gal combined city/highway with my stock truck so this is very close to orignal specs. I'm pleased so far and with at least 1 mi/gal savings it will pay for itself within 1 year.

I didn't run a baseline before installing the interceptor but I can definitely feel the difference in power and throttle response. I have it paired with a k&n 63 intake and they make a great pair. When I do decide to drive like a normal person I get 4-5 mpg better than stock!

Noticeably improved throttle response.1-2 mpg increase.Without a true dyno it is impossible to determine horsepower increase. Butt dyno feels that there is an increase in horsepower.Easy install. This gives enhanced performance without any change to the factory ECU programming.
