When SuperChips Inc. program a Superchips MAX MicroTuner, for your vehicle, they don't just make a few universal changes at full throttle, their engineers make modifications throughout the entire power band, from part throttle through wide open throttle. By tuning every 200 RPM, you get more power for everyday driving with increased power in the lower RPM range where you need it. Hypertech Performance Chips Increasing horsepower and torque is as simple as pushing a button with Hypertech Power Programmer III Tuner ! Simply plug the Power Programmer into the underdash diagnostic plug, answer a series of "Yes/No" questions, and the Power Programmer does the rest. Hypertech Power Programmer III - Three-Stage Power Tuning

Hypertech Power Programmer III Hypertech now have two new part numbers for the Ford Power Stroke 7.3L diesel (part #41040 for 2001-2003 and part #41039 for 1999-2000). There are two additional new diesel releases: Part number #30021 is for the 2001-2004 GM 6.6L Duramax, and #50009 is for the 1998 1/2-2002 Dodge Cummins. To all of these, Hypertech has added three stages of power tuning, each designed to match a range of driving and towing needs. Of these, Stage Three is the strongest. For Ford Powerstroke 7.3L diesel, this Hypertech Power Programmer's stage provides an additional 100 horsepower and 164 ft.-lbs. of torque, with plus 90 horsepower and 150 ft.-lbs. of torque for GM Duramax!

Why Hypertech Power Programmer III has two added tuning options?
When operated under heavy loads and for long periods of time, diesels can build up excessive heat in their engines and transmissions. When that occurs, the check-engine light may come on, or flash off and on, as a warning to either back off on the power level or lighten the load. While you can't always lighten the load, Hypertech Power Programmer's three-stage tuning lets you select the maximum power tuning level that can be safely used under high load conditions.

Hypertech Power Programmer III Hypertech Power Programmer III Tuner is easing the pain of rising prices at the gas pump. Hypertech has developed exclusive "Dual Fuel" tuning calibrations that deliver virtually the same power increases with regular gas as they do with premium. Hypertech's Power Programmer III is the only device that offers this powerful Dual Fuel feature.
"The truth is that most trucks make exactly the same power on tuning optimized for regular as they do with optimized premium gas", explained Mark Heffington, the founder and president of Hypertech. "For these vehicles, there is never a reason to use more expensive premium unleaded gas."

Jet Performance Chips Jet Performance Chips Power Control Module (PCM) are developed at JET Performance state of the art facility in Huntington Beach, California using the latest Dynamometer Techniques and computer monitoring equipment to insure all JET chips and modules are tuned for the maximum torque and horsepower gains throughout the RPM band.

The programming changes to each JET chip are extensive and include modified spark advance tables, air fuel ratio modification, torque converter lockup (in automatics), shift improvement in electronic automatic transmission and various other parameters to optimize the torque and horsepower curve for each individual application. Chassis Dynamometer tuning allows JET Performance to develop a specific program for each application.

Every vehicle is first tested in a stock configuration to get baseline dynamometer and track times. To do this the vehicle is connected to JET's custom data acquisition system to monitor various sensors. Engine temperature, spark advance and air/fuel ratios, all this data is then recorded and stored away for later comparison.

From there they start to modify the spark advance and fuel curve in 500 RPM increments until they achieve the maximum torque and horsepower at the drive wheels in each rpm and load range, this allows turning under all types of various driving conditions and not just wide open throttle, a decisive advantage to the JET chip!

All the Data is stored on disk and transferred to the JET chip program so thorough track and street testing can be done under "real world driving conditions" to assure the Dyno results prove out on the road in decreased 0-60 mph times and quicker ¼ miles acceleration.

Jet Performance Chips Power Control Module (PCM) JET Performance tuning replaces stock computer tuning inside the vehicle computer to give maximum power and torque. The tuning can be delivered in the form of a chip that replaces the stock computer chip, a chip that piggy-backs the stock computer chip, a chip that plugs into the back of the stock computer, or a module that intercepts and modifies the signals from the stock computer with JET Performance Power Tuning. The type of computer in your vehicle dictates the type of device needed.

The tuning information is stored in the computer chip which controls all of the engine's characteristics like air/fuel ratio, spark advance, shift firmness, shift points, top speed, rev limit, and axle ratio. Sensors monitor many engine and transmission parameters like RPM, manifold air pressure, mass air flow, coolant temperature, intake air temperature and many more. These sensors send this information to the computer. The computer uses this information delivered from the sensors along with the information stored on the chip to deliver the optimum air/fuel ratio, spark timing, shift firmness, etc. for this set of operating conditions at that instant in time.
JET Performance can tune a vehicle for the conditions by using a dynamometer to measure horsepower output while altering the information stored on the chip.
