Trouble Performing? Get Some Performance Chips

No guy likes to have trouble performing. It’s one of those things that’s always difficult to discuss and even harder to seek help for. Luckily, life is a whole lot easier on us than it was on dear old dad—all thanks to the Internets. For us, performance anxiety is a thing of the past. When we can’t get up to speed, all we have to do is take a quick trip online and order up all the power we’ll ever need with just a few mouse-clicks. And 30 short minutes later, we can smoke the guy next to us as he watches our tail disappear in the distance…off the line… in a car…we’re talking about cars here. And specifically: performance chips for cars, trucks and SUVs.

Double entendre aside, car performance chips and performance monitors are the fastest way to restructure your fuel system to increase efficiency and horsepower. Working in unison with other performance-enhancing upgrades like cold air intakes and custom exhaust systems, Sierra performance chips, Banks performance chips and other power programmers don't make drastic changes to the operation of your vehicle simply because they’re generally not needed. The engineering of an automobile has greatly improved within the past few decades, making small adjustments more important than ever. These small adjustments recover the untapped power that, until now, has been unrealized due to design.

Auto manufacturers program their vehicles with the average consumer in mind, typically someone who’s content with a certain level of power and performance. While these levels may be acceptable for some, they’re grossly inadequate for performance operations like towing, off-road driving or hooning up your Wal-Mart parking lot at midnight. That’s why drivers who regularly haul heavy loads, tow boats and do wicked donuts look to Ford Mustang performance chips, Chevy performance chips, Honda performance tuners and similar vehicle-specific technology as a means of recapturing some of the lost performance in a factory-tuned vehicle.

On average, Superchips tuners and other performance tuners take 5-10 minutes to program and no more than 20 minutes to install. Available in a couple different types, including chips that plug into your OBD-II port, located under your dashboard, or chips that remain permanently connected to your onboard computer, performance chips and power programmers make adjustments to your air/fuel ratio, ignition timing and other variables. By doing so, they enrich fuel delivery to key areas, increasing transmission pressure, improving the timing of the pistons, adjusting the shift points and RPMs on automatic transmissions, and controlling the vital function of the cooling fan. Tested and proven safe when installed and used correctly, these modifications promote faster fuel consumption and greater horsepower, adding big time horsepower and torque boosts.

When it comes to Honda accessories or accessories for any other make, model or year, few upgrades are easier and more effective than the results achieved through performance chips. Simple and affordable, they’re the holy grail of automotive technology, returning that which was lost: optimal power and performance from a stock engine.
