Wider selection of tunes would be nice
Of the included tunes, only 2 do not require premium fuel. A high mileage, and an 87 tune. Of the two, I really can't tell much difference between them. Both do speed up the gear changes and feel a bit more torque, but the fuel economy in the high mileage tune is no better than stock. Fuel economy in the 87 tune is also not much different from stock. A wider selection would be a good upgrade. As to the hardware, it is easy enough to use, if a bit slow. About 15 min to load a tune in 5.7L Hemi
Performance as advertized
This product does deliver on the performance aspect but I was a bit underwhelmed with the fuel economy aspect. Yes it does run spicy in the street and extreme settings but does worse on MPG. There is supposed to be an economy program with this product but I can't find it. Also, the instructions are kind of generic. Overall, I'm happy but feel like I have to run it juiced up or completely off because I cant find the economy setting for my morning commute.
Hypertech Max review- not much to it
This is priced close to the big boy tuners but it only offers a couple tunes that relate to what fuel you use. It can adjust some other minor things such as tire size and what lbs your low tire alarm goes off at but I would not buy it again. Stock is fine compared to this and if you want a programmer, spend the extra couple hundred for the good ones. It will read codes which is handy and it will clear them - of course not for long but that part is handy at times.
