This is a very cool product for all the stuff it can do, The only issue i have is that the Dyno is not accurate over 70Hp off. other then that, it is a great tool for so many gauges and works on a rang of cars

The OpenTune hardware does exactly what it says. It builds a wireless link to my Ipad Touch. It transfers data accurately and quickly. However, the app for the Ipad is really wanting. It is very basic with no real ability to customize the data being displayed. You are limited to three gauges. It would be great if the gauge window had multiple screen to scroll through with other displays. The MPG function is great, as well as its ability to log fill up data. The dyno function is pretty cool and does give decent hp data, etc. I'm linking about the higher capacity app offered for $49 to get better functions.

I have this for a while, thinking that this item is fully tested and functional. However, when i read up more and more on car tuning, and what the parameters mean (MAF, MAP, IAT, etc), I find it odd that the MAP for my Audi TT 2.0T was always fixed. Boost pressure is measured off the MAP parameter, so it's saying that the turbo boost is always at vacuum. This could not be the case, as i clearly felt the boost, and the dealership did a diagnostic test and the boost was generated normally. Naturally i contacted Innovate Sports for a solution. I was told i would be put on a "problem car" list, whoever knows how long that list is. There has been no support on getting the boost working for Audi/VW vehicles. If you own a Audi/VW and wanted to measure boost like I do, forget about this tool. If you own a vehicle of a different make, you're welcome to try, but be warned, support is next to nil after you buy the product.

Saw some review videos on Youtube and could not believe that there is no lag in information. Clears and shows you MEL or engine light codes. Installed it under the cupholder in my Toyota Tacoma, only thing you see is my iPhone:)

Is there an android version of this app?
Answered by Nathan S. — May 01, 2012 4:17 PM 1998 Ford Ranger
Unfortunately this product is designed with the iphone in mind. The good news is that the Superchips VIVID Performance Tuner is designed specifically with android devices in mind.
