Description

Stop your dog from doing a number on your back seats, and give them a soft place to sit, too. The Pooch Pad stops paw prints, claws and dirt from ruining your interior. And, the thick material looks worlds better than your current backseat blanket of shed dog hair.

The Pooch Pad provides the best of both worlds for you and your dog. With a unique design, the Pooch Pad hooks between the front and rear headrests or seatbelt loops, creating a cushy hammock for your dog's lazy laying. Meanwhile, you can rest easy knowing your seats are safely sheltered underneath.

Crafted from extra-thick velour-covered foam, the Pooch Pad creates a plentiful 50" x 55" cradle for sitting, sleeping or rolling around. And, should your dog do either "number" in the car, it's fully machine washable. Your Pooch Pad clips into your backseat in minutes and carries a 1-year warranty.

"We've had it for less than a week so we haven't had an opportunity to see how well it does in the washing machine. I installed it in my car to see how I liked it and immediately my dog jumped in and loved it so much she wouldn't get out of the car for three hours. (She's only 5 years old and otherwise very active). So far it's a hit."

"I'm totally happy with the Pooch Pad product that I recently received. It was exactly what I expected - the pad is thick (velour-type)and easy to install (snaps around headrests). I had purchased cover seats before, the kind that are permanent, and had to return them because the material (vinyl) slipped off of my leather seats and were too complicated to install. The advantage of having the Pooch Pad is I can easily slip it off when I have passengers and it keeps the dog hair and dirt off of the seats. Daisy (my Labradoodle) and I plan on taking many trips together."

Does the job

Posted on 01/28/2008 by Jennifer B. - 1997 Nissan Altima (Santa Rosa,CA)

"I've used the Pooch Pad for a couple weeks now. I have a large dog who sheds a lot and who tracks a lot of mud - my car was getting covered in hair and dirt! The pad protects a much larger area of the backseat than a typical seat cover, including the rear floors and backs of the front seats, which is great. It's about 1 inch thick and isn't waterproof (which would be ideal), but I partially dry my dog off before she gets in the car and it hasn't been a problem. One side has straps with clips intended to use around a pair of headrests while the other end has straps with clips intended to loop through the plastic part of the seatbelt holder on the inside roof of the car. For cars, like mine, with front headrests but no rear head rests and no rear seatbelt clips, I had to get creative about securing one side. I ended up stuffing the clip at the end of the strap into the area where the backseat meets the very back of the car. (Sorry, this is hard to explain.) This has worked well, even with a big, active dog who likes to move around a fair amount. Lastly, I have not washed it yet, so I don't know how it stands up to washing. This product would get 5 stars if it were water proof. "

The Pooch Pad

Posted on 10/11/2007 by Jeff K. - 2007 Ford F150 (Winneconne,WI)

"The pad works great except the pad does not cover the side of the seat. I own a truck and when my boxer get into the back seat her paws still get the side of the seat dirty. What I really like is that my dog cannot jump into the front seat from the backseat and she does not fall off the backseat anymore when stopping suddenly. Also this pad should be offered in more colors as my interior is black and the pad is gray."

"The price has gone up but the product hasn't been improved. The straps are string through, not clip type. I was hoping they had improved the straps. It's still a good product. This is my second purchase."

"Like the pad, fits nice in the back of our GMC Colorado. Would rather have clips on the straps or a bungy type cord. then it would be just perfect!!"

Pooch Pad does the trick

Posted on 09/17/2005 by Kevin H. (Delaware,OH)

"Fits great in a BMW X5 (2003) and allows my Doberman to go for a ride in the back seat without worrying about damage or dirt on the leather seats. The way it hangs from the back of the front seats also creates a barrier for jumping up front. I was concerned about support where it hangs over the rear floor, but that isn't a problem."

"I have placed the Pooch Pad in the back of my new Mazda 5 and it is great--not only does it fit perfectly, but also the way it attaches to the back seat serves as a barrier to prevent my dogs (two Goldens) from trying to join me in the front seat to help drive...."

pooch pad remarks

Posted on 08/31/2005 by Warren B. (Haymarket,VA)

"It is a great idea it totally saves my truck from dog hair and mud the only bad thing about it is that the plastic strap hooks are cheap and really dont work that well. Clips would be better. But I'd still buy it again if I had to."
