Description

Change your labrador’s latitude and let him lounge away the long hauls in the Kurgo Wander Dog Hammock. Not only does the Wander Hammock from Kurgo span and protect your entire rear-seat area, it treats your pooch to miles of resort style living!

When your payload goes from pets to people, the Wander Hammock quickly converts to a regular seat cover. Or, unzip the center for a hammock/seat cover combo that accommodates pets and people. Plus, the Velcro closures allow seatbelt access and child seat use.

Crafted of PVC-backed polyester, the Kurgo Hammock is waterproof, stain-resistant and machine washable. Plus, the special anti-microbial fabric repels dirt and moisture. That means claws, crud, fur and “accidents” never reach your seats.

Along with the 55” wide x 56” long Hammock, Kurgo includes a matching utility bag and a water bottle to fortify Fido everywhere you go. Plus, you choose the black or khaki color scheme, both with orange trim. And best yet, Kurgo backs your Wander Dog Hammock with a 1-year warranty.

Willy the Wander Dog and his Hammock.

Reviewed by Janice L (FRESNO, CA) Reviewed for a 2010 Ford Edge — Monday at 9:05 PM

While the hammock does protect the back seat of my car, it does not fit particularly well. Despite tightening up all the straps, it still sags. If I could adjust the straps that go around the headrests, it would fit much better. Alas, I cannot do that so I am going to sew "tent" sleeves onto the reverse of the edges along the seat backs and then insert a dowel of some sort.

The hammock is a great product. Although it could be a little longer to cover the whole seat. Hopefully the canvas smell will go away. Overall very pleased with it

The quality of the KURGO WANDER DOG HAMMOCK is great but it slips and slides on both ends as my dog enters the car exposing the car seats to dog hair and this is a disappointment. I have tried tightening the straps but that creates a sling affect and makes the slipping worse.

Is efficient enough. Would prefer it to have sides that come down. Do not use the case or water bottle much. Would prefer pocket made into the cover.

Our 70lb Doberman loves this and we do too...the seats stay in new condition and she gets to not fall over or stres about sitting up. She now enjoys the back seat.

Harness

Will this item allow access to the seatbelt buckle to attach a pet harness to?

Answered by Manuel A. — Feb 07, 2013 4:25 PM

Thanks for your answer but let me re-phrase my question. I guess what I need to know is if it will let me buckle-up/connect a pet harness that attaches directly to the buckles in the middle of the seat. Is there a slit in the cover to allow this access to the buckles in the center of the seat? I don't need to use the shoulder belts for this harness application. Thanks!

Worried about wasting more money because my car is small.

I have gone though so many pet covers and wasted so much money. I like the reviews that I have been reading. I have 5 dogs, weighting in from 38 lbs up to 90 lbs. My question is: Will this item work in my car?

Hello Trevor. Yes, you can wash this pet cover with water and detergent; use either a hose or if it fits, a washer. Afterwards, hang to dry. Thank you for your question.
