Quarantine your canine for both of your safety, with the Motor Trend Walky Guard Pet Barrier, which works exclusively on vehicles equipped with adjustable headrests. Your pet should be chasing down tennis balls in the park, not your passenger seat. In the eyes of an excited pooch, the only difference between an open field and your auto is the lack of grass. You've got to keep him under wraps to arrive at your destination intact.
Better than making your pet stay cooped up in a travel kennel, the Motor Trend Walky Guard Pet Barrier lets you confine your pet to the back of your ride. Plus, team up the Walky Guard Pet Barrier with Motor Trend's Mesh Barrier for the ultimate defense against front-seat doggie infiltration.
Whether you’re rolling in a wagon, SUV or sedan, the Motor Trend Walky Guard Pet Barrier is fully adjustable to fit any seats with extendable headrests on just about any vehicle. Starting out at 12” tall by 34” wide, it grows to a whopping 18” tall by 56” wide. And, it’s built tough from steel alloy and includes padded arms to protect your interior. 1-year warranty included.

1. The barrier comes well packaged in an easy to open box. 2. The instructions are adequate, but the pictures could be better. 3. Installation time is only about 5-7 minutes. 4. The barrier will lean back into your cargo area at the same angle as your head rests, so it may take up more space than you want it to. 5. You will hear some rattling when you hit bumps while driving. If this will bother you, consider a different product.

Overall a great product! The only minor fault is that my lab can still get his head around the head rests on both sides closest to each window. The bottom bar is permanently attached and doesn't adjust. My 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the seats that adjust when you start the vehicle. So the brackets that hold it will need adjusting occasionally. Other than that I would recommend it.

I've installed 2 different barriers in my toyota tacoma quad cab. Everytime someone gets in the front seat and moves the seat back the barrier disengages and leans into the cab, then has to be readjusted and hooked back up. does this one stay put?

Hi, The barrier will shift every time a seat is adjusted as it's not bolted in place.

Does this allow the seats to move after installation?

Hi Cheryl, You can adjust the seats as long as the bars are not secured into the walls of the interior.

Can this product be used to provide a barrier between the middle seat and cargo area of the 2012 Ford Transit Connect SLT Premium Wagon? If I use it with a "cargo liner" is it easy to install/remove for interior car washing?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 28, 2013 10:15 AM
Hi Martha, The Motor Trend Walky Guard Pet Barrier will work great with adjustable headrests. And, a cargo liner is an easy-to-remove way to protect the interior.
