You want to bring your furry friend along for the ride, but you also want to preserve your pristine interior at the same time. Traditional pet seat covers may do a good job of defending your upholstery, but they fall short on protecting your floorboards from fur, drool and sharp claws. For the ultimate in cockpit coverage, go with the Motor Trend Hammock Seat Protector.
More than just a mere dog seat protector, the Motor Trend Hammock is a total back row cover. Along with fitting over your bench seat, it’s equipped with an extra sleeve that connects right to your front row headrests. By bridging the divide between your back and front seats, it catches more fur and more slobber to safeguard your floors—not to mention that it gives your pet more room to lounge and stops him from falling off the seat.
Designed for maximum durability and simple cleaning, your Motor Trend Hammock is made from a polyester canvas fabric that comes in multiple colors. To keep it from shifting around while you drive, it boasts an anti-slip lining and neoprene belts that grab and hold your cushions. And, it’s backed by a 1-year warranty.

I was looking for a product like this to protect my seat and keep the dogs from falling off the seat as well. I have a 60lb. pointer and an 85lb lab and both can lay comfortably on it. Easy install was a bonus!

This was easy to install and we and our dogs are very happy with it. It doesn't go all the way to the edge of the seats, just as it shows in the picture (it would be better if it did) but we would still buy it again.

This is the first one I've bought that actually covered the seats in my 08 F250. With the back straps, corner seat straps, and the gripping backer, it stays in place, too. The only concern I have might be liquid porosity but that seems to ok so far. My dog did get in after swimming and it seems to have held. I'd also do away with the sestbelt holes. They're just holes for hair and such to get to my seat. All of these have them, though. Best one yet.

It was easy to install and made of excellent material. I wish that the material protected the side of the seat as well but doesn't and also the middle of the seat doesn't have anything to hold it up to the back of the seat. Other then those minor comments I do like the hammock as it protects the back of the front seat and the floor. Would recommend it does the job!

This Hammock is really nice. High quality fabric, stays in place on the seat well, easy to install, and the dogs seem to like it. The large version fits my MDX really well. One of my dogs really likes to ride up front and still climbs over the edge of the hammock between the front seats, so it doesn't quite solve all my problems but it's close. The dogs are safer and my seats are clean.

Would the seat hammock have trouble attaching to the front bucket seats as there are no head rests? Also what size would you recommend for our 90lb doberman puppy?
Answered by Nathan S. — Feb 21, 2013 9:39 AM
Hi, The tops of your seat has a taper to it, so the headrest strap will fit over it.

I have a 2010 Odyssey - will it fit in there - do the seats need to be next to each other or with the center piece in? Just wondering.

When my 100 lb pup moves around in the back seat, what happens to the elastic bands after the dog steps on the seat covers slack that hangs w/o the back seat support, over..and possibly over again?

Hi, Those are pretty thick straps. The sticting would pull out before the straps wear out.

I just bought a 2012 F150 Super Crew and the back of the cab is really big and I think the front bucket seats are big also, compared to the other truck brands. I have a large 120-130 pound Labrador/great Dane mix and a small mutt type of dog ( the small one I am not too worried about though) I just don't want to ruin the seats and stuff with dog hair and them being wet or have accidents (the little one). Will this seat cover work and be big enough?

I bought the XL size for my 2011 F-450. It fits perfectly for my truck and my full size Labrador.

I have a 2012 Nissan Altima and the back seats do not have a detachable head rest. Are the straps for the back seat headrest adjustable?
Answered by Anonymous — Oct 22, 2012 7:17 PM
Yes they are. There are clips that allow you to adjust the strap around the headrest.

what are the cleaning recommendations?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jul 06, 2012 2:49 PM
Hello Brian. The polyester canvas fabric of the hammock is very washable. All it requires is a hose (or a washer, if you have one large enough) and some detergent or spot clean. After you've washed the Hammock Seat Protector, simply hang it up or set it out to air dry. Thank you for your question.

I can't seem to find the place it tells what the dimensions are of each size? I have a Town and Country van. The back seat is now in the middle position. So I need to know what the dimensions are to the larger size. About to go on LONG road trip and want them comfortable.
Answered by Michael K. — Jan 05, 2012 3:46 PM
Hi Karen, the Standard size measures 51 3/4" x 63 5/8", the X-Large measures 58 3/4" x 64 1/4".
