This radar detector has a great range and the gps feature is worth the extra cost. I had it detect radar from over a mile away.

The Beltronics Pro 300 Radar Detector preformed as advertised. I just completed a 1,300 mile round trip to the East coast and it saved me from a ticket at least 5 times. Don't forget to turn on the pop function. I only rated it 4 out of five because I believe the volume could be higher (I have the music loud at times). Great unit, looks good, you will need the pro mount.

Coming from a Beltronics 955, and 995, this model is very similar if not identical, but with a new housing. That's not really a bad thing, since these are two fantastic radar detectors. This is just an all around good detector that works super in my area (Central FL). These Beltronics detectors are just great, never had a problem with any of them. And they have saved me a boatload of $$$ and aggrivation. Take the time to Hardwire yours, it's easy and WELL worth the trouble.
