    Description

Thwart the threat posed by radar, laser and ticket-happy cops with Escort's most intelligent radar detector yet, the 9500ix. Powerful long-range protection keeps you one step ahead of the law while the 9500ix's signal-rejection system eliminates noisy false alarms.

The Escort 9500ix's GPS-powered memory distinguishes false alerts, like your neighbor's garage-door opener, from real threats like local speed traps-making the 9500ix the quietest detector available. Plus, the Escort 9500ix protects you from all radar bands including X, K, Superwide Ka, Ku and laser. And, the new generation 9500ix's GPS-powered memory system is pre-loaded with the location of thousands of red-light cameras for extra protection.

When threatening signals are detected, the 9500ix alerts you with your current speed so you know when to take your foot out of it. And, Escort's AutoVolume feature automatically adjusts the volume based on cabin noise so you never miss an alert. Best yet, the Escort 9500ix Radar Detector is backed by a 1-year warranty.

I upgraded (I think) from a Beltronics RX65. I'm still getting used to the warning sounds. I seem to be getting more than average number of warnings as compared to my Rx65. It seems to be doing its job as it warns me in the known speed trap areas. I've only seen the "speedcam" warning once. I basically travel the same route daily, mostly highway. I need a bit more time with this unit but so far so good.

Awesome Radar!! Has great long range detection and the GPS Auto Learn for false alarms is a Plus!. No more anoyiny alerts and it's simple to use. I like the updating feature with the use of my laptop and I'm able to make setting changes through the computer.

This is the best radar detector that I have owned. Previously, I thought a radar scrambler would be the best protection, but it did not do what was advertised. This Escort has done what was claimed.

This is an awesome purchase it is perfect for me and my heavy foot. It catches a radar signal 1-2 miles away and keeps me guessing where they are hiding. Best money spent.

I really have not had the chance to see how well it works. I drive my motorcycle more than my car. I can tell you it's memory feature is working well. Already has stored two locations for false readings. I have only done one update online. Real nice piece of road gear. I bought it mostly for road trips on the interstate highways. LOT"S OF SPEED TRAPS IN GEORGIA.

I HAD THIS UNIT PREVIOUSLY AND WAS STOLEN. BEING HAPPY WITH THE DETECTOR I PURCHASED ANOTHER. THE FACT THAT GPS PRACTICALLY ELIMINATES FALSE READINGS IN FAMILIAR AREAS AND AUTO MODE FOR AUTOMATIC CITY/HIGHWAY USE BASED ON SPEED MAKES THIS DETECTOR THE BEST ON THE MARKET IN MY OPIONON. JUST TAKE IT WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE YOUR CONVERTIBLE TOP DOWN.

I just retired an Escort 8500. Had it at least 10 years. This one blows it away! Love the red light cam database and the ability to program speed traps. I have not been using it long and it is already eliminating many false alarms. Drawbacks: had to have detector plugged into power supply to synch up the database. The case looks nice in pics but is garbage. The inside of mine cracked when I pulled the detector out. And behind it was rusted tin. The Detector itself works awesome!

I have had the Escort 95ix for about two weeks and i am sure it has saved me many times. Quality is second to none! It is pricey but it has already save me money. This is a must have if you can`t follow the law.

Not worth $500 for GPS enabled , but the cheaper version is DEFINITELY worth your buy.
