"I bought the detector for my summer trip from San Antonio Texas to Del Mar California. It worked great and even with all the heat the batteries are still the original ones even today. When the unit alarmed there was something there and gave us plenty of warning. Only complaint is the display in the bright sunlight while wearing sunlglasses is hard to see when it alarms. I think that problem would be eliminated if I used the optional power cord. I really think for the price that should be included with the unit. AutoAnything did just like they said and I had my unit on time. Thanks a lot to all."

"This is the best radar detector! So easy to use, no annoying cables to plug in. Its saved me so many times. If you are considering a wireless radar detector this is the one. There may be a few out there that are cheaper, but none compare to the solo s2."

"I BOUGHT THE SOLO ESCORT S2 AND IT REALLY WORKS PRETTY GOOD BUT IT SOME TIMES HAS ALOT OF TROUBLE PICKING UP ON LOW BAND SIGNALS. THERE HAS BEEN A FEW INSTANCES WHERE IVE SEEN THE COP BEFORE THE RADAR HAS ANY IDEA WHAT HIT IT"
