Goes head to head with any non-cordless detector

"I've had this radar detector for two weeks now. I've been impressed by it since I put it in my car. I'm coming from a Bel 980, and was skeptical of the cordless detectors. The only weakness of this detector is that its not explosively loud, but its loud enough. Features I really like:
Very few false alarms
Good range - equal to or better than my 980
Screen is only on when something is being detected (no bright display at night)
and NO CORDS, battery life is better than I expected. I drive alot, so I figured I'd put a pretty good hurt on the life, but after two hard weeks of driving, it JUST went to 3/4 life yesterday.
Overall, its a great detector. Those skeptical of the cordless like me, this will make you a believer."

"I think it is the best thing i have bought. It really has saved me a lot of money in police tickets. It detects police patrols before I have seen them. Actually, my husband had one in his car and when i bought my BMW 335 i had to have one!. I surelly recommend it!!!!"

Escort Solo S2 Cordless Radar Detector

"Purchased this because I previously owned the Escort 850 model. I liked it very much but was starting to get annoyed by the power cord so I thought I'd try this model. So far I'm very happy. Highly sensitive. No limitation to placement on the windshield which is great. I like the auto off/auto on feature. Well worth the investment."

"The new radar detector works great. It is so nice not to have the cord blocking my radio and cd player. It has already saved me twice since I recieved it. Overall I am very happy with my purchase."

"First battery powered unit that I have owned and had some concerns about battery life and radar detection. Works as well as any of the Escort/Beltronics detectors that I've used and is very easy on batteries. Battery continues to show full after 40+ hours of use."

"Very convenient to install and the "no wires" are a plus. But it doesn't acknowledge the presents of the Policeman's Lazer Gun as it is pointing & shooting at my car! JPB"

"I've used every brand of detector that's available and the Escort Solo S2 rates right at the top. I made a 1000 mile trip the day after receiving the detector and it performed flawlessly. I highlt recommend the Solo S2."

"Very easy to read. Good range. Ease of wireless installation and removal is a huge plus. Only drawback is that power and volume buttons are too small to operate easily."
