Yakima Big PowderHound Ski & Snowboard Rack Reviews

Looks great!

Reviewed By Aaron C (STILLWATER, OK) Reviewed for a 2008 Toyota 4Runner —9/18/2017 9:23 AM

I've only had it for about a month, but I tested the fitment on my 4Runner and I am very happy with it. The installation takes a little longer, but I love the fact that the rack can be locked. No way for someone to simply unscrew the whole thing and walk away with your equipment. We'll see how it holds up, heading to the mountains as soon as the snow hits!!!

Rhino-Rack Ski & Snowboard Rack Reviews

Good look, low cost, hope it lasts

Reviewed By Jonathan H (Merrick, NY) Reviewed for a 2016 Jeep Cherokee —3/22/2017 8:03 AM

The all black looks great and you can take off the Rhino Rack logo if you dont want it (its sticky tape). The locking mechanism is good but I hope the the plastic fastener lasts. Also, the lock is a great thing but the way it fastens to the roof rails someone could just come and unscrew the fastening screws with an allen key.

SeaSucker Ski & Snowboard Rack Reviews

Love this rack

Reviewed By Neal S (Monroe, NJ) —3/9/2017 4:12 AM

I already own Seasucker bike rack and when I needed the ski rack this was the way to go. The thought of having to install crossbars and a rack was not appealing to me. For nearly the same cost I got the Seasucker. Just used it on a 500 mile round-trip ski trip had two boards two sets of skis on it. Cruising at 80 in heavy winds the rack is rock solid. You do need to follow the directions in terms of preparation and check the vacuum pumps when you stop just to be sure everything is tight.
