"i have a 06 dodge cummins quad cab was unsure of the way my truck would look,but came out good.I'm happy with quality and apperance,the instructions were not as good as i thought they would be and was missing one sheet but auto anything was great and got them to me that day.GREAT SERVICE THANKS"

45x60 Surco installed on 88 Cherokee

"My cherokee goes everywhere....its an 88 Cherokee 4x4 with a 3 inch EMU susp. lift on 31x10.50 Mud Terrains. I bought the rack initially because it was on sale and because I had some extra cash. The rack is easy to put together however i can gurantee problems with mounting it. Honestly..if you have a factory rack on your vehicle just mount the safari rack to your factory rails...the footers that come with the rack are junk. Simply drill directly through the floor of your safari rack and through the rails of your factory system and bolt it down..it wont go anywhere. Also dont waist money on light mount brackets..just bolt your lights straight to the top bar on the rack..it looks great. I mounted 2 hella 500s with 100w bulbs up there and it is mean."

"Installed an 84x55 Surco Safari rack on a Yukon XL. The rack itself assembles cleanly and quickly. The base rack seems like a great value for the price. Unfortunately, the accessories are way overpriced and thus the total cost of the rack as outfitted cost well over $1000. Too much for what it is. I opted against the light mounts as they were too expensive and after seeing the other mounts, I am glad I did it. A simple hole drilled through the bar and I had a perfect place to mount the lights. I am happy with the quality and look of the rack as well as the base price. It's too bad Surco decided to gouge the customers with the accessories making this rack unaffordable for many."

"Overall, I am happy with my new Safari Roof Rack. It went together very easy but I was shorted one screw. I contacted Surco and they immediately shipped me the screw that was missing. Very good customer service from Surco. My Jeep is yellow and the black roof rack looks very nice on my Jeep. I also bought the light adapter kit and mounted the PIAA 520 Fog Lights on the rack. A very good product."

"I ordered this item at the last minute for a trip to Oregon, it arrived the following day after ordering (super fast). My Hummer is white and all trims are black so this only enhanced the Hummer, even our son who we went to visit in Oregon and a car nut himself said how good the rack looked on the Hummer. Installation, as others have mentioned was ok but the screws are too short, they need to remedy this issue, you need to stop what you are doing and go purchase new screws, NOT COOL! My hubby also mounted the rack towards to the rear so the H3 still had full enjoyment from the moon roof."

"It was just what I was looking for. Something that didn't look like a basket, but could still haul my gear when I needed to. I also got the Spare Me Tire Carrier for it too so my main spare is up top. I'm going to put lights up there and have temps now. So I'm not quite done, but getting there. Love it, worth the money."

"This roof rack is well designed. The instructions are incomplete at best. Mine came with two missing specialty nuts and one missing screw. You would think after all these years that companies would simply include some extra screws and nuts just as a way to avoid customer frustration and dissatifaction. My ratings for this item would be excellent if those parts were not missing. The directions are discernable, but could be made much clearer with just one or two additional illustrations and written instructions."

"I have been used to scowering junk yards, searching for parts on forums and paying heavy for new parts. Well I do alot of exploring of the State of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho and all my gear and emergancy gear and parts went inside till I found Surco Safari. I now put alot up top and keep dry food, cooler, bed roll and clothes inside and everything else goes up top. The rack is built tuff, has a floor, looks great and the custom support on auto anything and Surco made sure I got the right rack for my application. Shipping was included, price was half of the competators and packaing was perfect. You cant go wrong with Auto anything and Surco. AAA+++ experience"

"Easy assembly and installation. The plastic enc caps need to be redisigned as the current ones have to be cut down to fit. By putting a blanket on the roof, installation is a one man operation, even a 73 year old."

"The Surco rack itself is very well designed and manufactured to excellent quality standards. I installed it on my 2002 Ford Excursion with the optional spare tire mount and it looks super and frees up alot of room in the back of the truck. The instructions relative to the installation on the vehicle, however, were awful and the aluminum pieces provided to secure it to the factory rack on the truck were undersized and, thus, kept slipping out of the rails making the installation more difficult than it should have been and causing me to question the security of the installation."

"Everything fit and all parts were included. Instruction sheets could have been a little better, but I was able to decipher. I only had one problem, and that was with the plastic end caps that were installed on the last step. The cap broke. This could have been because the garage where I did the installation was cold, this is December. The roof rack looks nice. Sure adds to the appearance of my JEEP. I opted for the spare tire rack, and have a 31" tire and wheel up on top. Hope the rack and spare tire adapter will hold up."

"Once out of the box,assembled and mounted on the roof probably had taken about one hour, not bad for the first time. It was fairly straight forward. The only thing I had to modify were the end caps to fit into two tubular supports. Otherwise, perfection."

"really easy to put together, the clamp mounts are kinda funky but the hold it in place really well. some road noise when going over 65 so i installed a wind deflector on the front, homemade out of black powdercoat diamond plate metal. havent tested it for hauling skis yet but it seems really sturdy."

"I bought this rack for use on a camping trip! Installation was easy, and everything fit together the way it should. It hauled my gear with no problems, and made more room inside of my jeep liberty for dry items. Do not hesitate to purchase, it is a nice rack!"
