"I like the appearance, plenty of room but when installed does not strap down tight enough to the cross bars to secure the cargo carrier from sliding across the cross bars. Just a poor design on the Ubolts. Everything else is great. Auto Anything has great customer service and product delivered in timely manner."

"Holy buckets can it fit a lot in it! Which is extremely important to my family. We are moving 1900 miles away to Canada, taking only what fits in, or on, our car. Thank you Thule you rule!*!*!*"

"I used my carrier to hold three sets of golf clubs leaving room for luggage and three friends in the cabin of my 4-Runner. We traveled over 1400 miles through 7 states. The carrier performed admirably during periods of high wind and rain. I was able to install and remove the carrier all by myself with little or no trouble. The performance of this product exceeded my expectations."

"I purchased a thule carrier for a family trip to florida (from cincinnati) and was amazed by the amount of luggage I could store on top of my 2004 Denali and how easy it was to install. I had a great experience with this company, including my (online) purchase and fast delivery. Great purchase."

"Easy to install and seems solid on the top, even at highway speeds. Maybe the smallest of impact on gas mileage, but it's not significant. Fits nicely on the Subaru roof rack.
Price and delivery were great. I shopped locally and on the Internet, and couldn't find a better price than Auto Anything."

"We just used our cargo carrier for the first time this weekend. Worked pretty good. The only thing that I was not extremely happy with is that the top is to flexable for the length and it trys to twist when you close it. Other than that is worked great. Buying through AutoAnything was a great experience with very fast delivery."

Dry Even in 8 Hours of a Downpour

"Incredible; better than expected. We had an 8 hour drive in pouring rain and our sleeping bags, hanging bags, and suitcases all remained dry! When it was raining so hard that innerstate traffic slowed to a crawl I was concerned that our cloths would be wet. When we arrived outside New Orleans, to my amazement, our cloths were still dry."

Nice Box, Terrible Attachment Hardware

"I think Thule is in the process of fixing it, but the hardware this carrier came with is awful. It will permanently damage your crossbars. So if you plan to purchase this carrier, be sure you are mechanically inclined and can make your own tweaks. I added some rubber padding to the hardware so I won't destroy my crossbars. If you have more time on your hands, you could probably create a better mouse trap of your own by mismatching parts from other carriers and even clamps from Yakima carriers. I didn't have time on my side, so I did what I could."

"This unit was everything I'd expected and hoped for. Great price and great functionality. I drive a 2004 4-Runner and the gas mileage was not affected adveresly at all during my 1500 mile trip. I probably overloaded it compared to the advised weight load rating with no adverse affects. I noticed no noise difference either. However, this unit is smaller than many others so it rode farther back on the roof rack than some others might. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase!"

"I bought this to replace a Thule carrier that I bought new with my car. The only real difference between them is that this one did NOT have the quick release hardware. I was able to use the set from my old one. The quick release does not have to be disassembled each time you use the carrier, it takes about 2 minutes to put the thing on and 2 minutes to take it off. I strongly recommend this product."

"Borrowed my neighbors' carrier for a summer road trip, like it, researched prices thoroughly on the net; AA was among the lowest priced sites. What made me go with them is that they offered 10% discount and free shipping promotions, and allowed me to use both, so the final price was considerably lower than everyone else's. Most other sites would have charged a mininum of $40 to as much as $115 shipping for this bulky item, so I saved a bunch on shipping. I ordered it by phone (had a little trouble getting the shopping cart to apply both promotions, but the guy on the phone applied them without hesitation) on Saturday 7/20, didn't receive any email confirmation until I got a "Shipping Notification" on the 7/25, a day after the freight company called to set up a delivery date, which ended up being the 26th. So it took less than 1 week from order to delivery, well ahead of its anticipated need for a another summer road trip. Set-up is fairly simple as it installed directly onto my factory roofrack. I wrapped some duck tape onto the brackets so that it wouldn't mar my racks. I seem to recall that my neighbors' box had some padding on the mounts but maybe he put those on himself or Thule did away with them. On the road the carrier is very aerodynamic (quiet and doesn't seem to affect gas mileage at all) and watertight (contents remain dry through heavy downpours). Best part is that it frees up a lot of interior space for the kids and dog."

"I researched many cargo carriers, soft and hard. This one was wonderful. It was our first experience with a cargo carrier and we were nervous. It was a sinch to install, and you didn't even know it was up there! Our gas mileage was not affected as much as we had feared either. I would recommend this to anyone!"

"I find this carrier to be aerodynamic & was pleasantly surprised that it didn't adversely affect my mpg.
I love the way it opens to the rear of the vehicle, especially since I'm a lady of small stature this makes it much easier to access& a real + was that this item came preassembled!
The BEST BONUS --> having the extra room in our vehicle to be able to travel in comfort & not clutter!!!"

"I bought this to create more space for 2 dogs in the car on a 10 hour drive. The carrier was pretty easy to install, it is lightweight so if you had to, you could lift it on the roof yourself. The instructions were easy enough to follow but the biggest shock was how much luggage you can store in the carrier. It is slim, not bulky, and yet I put a set of golf clubs, two medium sized bags, two boxes of shoes, a clothes garment bag and comforters in there for the drve and had a littl eroom to spare! It does not create any extra noise (I did not use the wind defelctors that supposedly minimize sound)and I am extremely happy with the purchase. I would recommend this to everyone and anyone, especially those of you with kids or pets."

"I bought the Thule Excursion for a road trip to the beach with 2 boys. The cargo carrier easily accomodated 2 large suitcases as well as a several additional items. Freed up a considerable amount of space in the back of our Forester for other items such as a cooler, etc. Well worth the money. We are looking forward to using it again on our next road trip."

"If I could break this into 3 sections I would give AutoAnything 5 stars, Thule 2 stars and the delivery people 2 stars. AutoAnything was prompt with email confirmation and accurate about delivery times. ABF deliveries however took 3 days and several calls to schedule a drop-off and my wife spent an entire day waiting for a delivery that was suppose to arrive before noon and didn't show up until just after 5pm. Dealing with an irrate wife is an automatic 3 star deduction for anyone;) Once the carrier arrived, the box was damaged in the corner, but the product was in good shape. Or so I thought...
A few days later I attached the carrier to my 2002 MDX. No problem (about 10-15 minutes by myself). I loaded it up as directed. No problem. I close the lid. Problem. Close it again. Still a problem. The carrier doesn't lock. After 30 minutes of inspection and repeatedly testing lid, my neighbor and I determine that Thule assembled the lock catch mechanism too low, so the top lid does not catch and lock. I unload the carrier, remove it from the car (Again, about 10 minutes with neighbor's help.) This is the night before our trip so my wife is expecting me to rage about this packing dilemma, but our neighbor has a roof top carrier and he let's us borrow it. (The neighbor gets 6 stars BTW.) The next day we go on our trip as planned, with the new Thule carrier still in my garage.
We were gone for 2 weeks. I had emailed AutoAnything about returning the carrier Friday night before I left. They did not respond (other then an auto-email stating that someone would get in touch with me). When I returned from the trip and there was still no email response from AutoAnything, I called their customer service number. From this point on AutoAnything was very helpful. They arranged another carrier (R&L this time - they get 4 stars). All I needed to do was re-pack the carrier in a box. (These things are BIG, so that took some doing.) My credit card was credited and I assume to date that Thule agreed with my comp"

MANY WEB SITES HAD THE CARRIER WITH A $150.00 DELIVERY CHARGE. AUTO ANYTHING HAD MY CARRIER AT A FAIR PRICE AND A PHENOMINAL DELIVERY CHARGE. I WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT YOU!"
