Highways have become battle grounds, so you need to be ready for war when you head out on your road trips and camping excursions. With the Yakima LoadWarrior Cargo Basket as your wingman, you can lock and load a ton of gear on top of your vehicle. It’s capable of holding up to 3 bikes at a time, or 2 kayaks and 1 bike, or even 1 bike and a junior ICBM.
The Yakima LoadWarrior Cargo Basket is built like a tank. Heavy-duty steel bars are welded into place, forming the hull of this cargo-carrying beast. The steel is weather treated to withstand any assault by Mother Nature. And, you get a rugged wind fairing that cuts down on wind whistle, so you can motor around with greater stealth.
It doesn’t take the brains of Military Intelligence to mount your LoadWarrior. The universal attachment system fits easily onto round, square and most factory crossbars. What’s more, Yakima designed your LoadWarrior Cargo Basket for upgrades. You can add length by picking-up the optional extension piece, and keep your gear secure with the locking bracket and cargo net. Lifetime Warranty.

I purchased the Load Warrior to carry golf clubs for trips. I purchased the extension because I needed the extra length. With the extension it fits great overall but might hinder using the top storage box. Very easy to install, looks good, doesn't make any noise. I would recommend this.

Rack goes together easy and installed quickly on Subaru Outback. Recently hauled a small footlocker and several dry bags 1200 miles. Wind noise is noticeable but, expected. Does not come with net so that was a separate purchase although, I used ratchet straps to secure load.

Love the rack! Very sturdy. It will hold two crash pads no problem. Shipping was extremely fast in my case. Ordered on Friday it was sitting on my doorstep the next afternoon my mind was blown.

Have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with standard roof rack. Origionally ordered the standard LoadWarrior Cargo basket with optional extension and light brackets. After having it mounted for about one year, determined I wanted an additional extension. Removing origional mounting brackets without any trouble, added the extension and remounted just as easy as initial install. Added two Pathfinder roof rack cross ribs (junk yard cost 75.oo) for extra support. Only complaint would be that additional extension does not come with mounting supports (U-bolts work great too). RECOMMEND for occasional or continual use.
