Some things are just meant to be together. That's the thought behind Thule's Glide and Set Kayak Rack Saddles package - the perfect marriage of easy loading and lateral stability.
The felt-lined Hydro Glide saddle provides low-friction loading with six times more contact area than roller type loaders. Thule's Set-To-Go non-skid saddles give the ultimate support and stability.
Hydro Glide and Set-To-Go saddles fit most aftermarket racks, including Thule and Yakima, and other factory installed racks. Two Thule QuickDraw ratcheting tie-downs and two buckle straps get you there safely and securely. Your Thule Glide and Set Watersport Roof Rack is crafted in the USA and covered by a Lifetime Warranty.

you guys at AA were great, helping me with the decision about a roof rack for my honda, helping choose a kayak carrier to mount on the rack. you were knowledgeable----for example, the rack was easy to assemble, fit the honda's roof perfectly, and the glide and set was easy to put on and works perfectly, even at 75 mph.

Really easy to put on your rails and easy to adjust as well. I would recommend them to anyone. I am using it for a two person sit on top kayak. Once you know where to place the pads it is super simple to tie your kayak down.

We regularly carry three touring kayaks on top of our Chevy Suburban Z71 that has the roof rack with integrated rear roller. I use the Thule 835pro Hullaport Kayak Rack(folding J Rack) for the boats on the outside the Thule Glide and Set for the middle. The Glide and Set mounts occassionaly slide out from position on the aluminum crossbar. This has happened at highway speed and it is unnerving as you see your kayak through the sunroof fall down to the cross bar and start sliding sideways on your roof. The boat just naturally pushes the mounts outwards as you tighten the straps. I can't get the mounts any tighter. I think I will wrap some old bicycle tubes around the cross bars to increase friction. But given the choice, I would choose the Thule J Racks over the Thule Glide and Set because I think they are easier to load an defintely more secure.

With the Glide and Set kayak saddle, I can easily load and secure my kayak on my truck rack. The rear felt lined pads are great for guiding my boat into position for tie down. Great product! Thank You.

I like the rack, it works very well for my Caper. Your site and deliver were great. The one complaint I have, is that the package contains carriage bolts of 50 & 60mm....but, heaven forbid, you need 80mm's, you have to buy them separate. That is crap!
