you guys at AA were great, helping me with the decision about a roof rack for my honda, helping choose a kayak carrier to mount on the rack. you were knowledgeable----for example, the rack was easy to assemble, fit the honda's roof perfectly, and the glide and set was easy to put on and works perfectly, even at 75 mph.

It was was to install and held my kayak securely. It makes loading and securing a kayak simple.

Really easy to put on your rails and easy to adjust as well. I would recommend them to anyone. I am using it for a two person sit on top kayak. Once you know where to place the pads it is super simple to tie your kayak down.

We regularly carry three touring kayaks on top of our Chevy Suburban Z71 that has the roof rack with integrated rear roller. I use the Thule 835pro Hullaport Kayak Rack(folding J Rack) for the boats on the outside the Thule Glide and Set for the middle. The Glide and Set mounts occassionaly slide out from position on the aluminum crossbar. This has happened at highway speed and it is unnerving as you see your kayak through the sunroof fall down to the cross bar and start sliding sideways on your roof. The boat just naturally pushes the mounts outwards as you tighten the straps. I can't get the mounts any tighter. I think I will wrap some old bicycle tubes around the cross bars to increase friction. But given the choice, I would choose the Thule J Racks over the Thule Glide and Set because I think they are easier to load an defintely more secure.
