"High quality bag, easy to install. Didn't shift at all... Didn't hold as much as I'd expected, since my stuff didn't conform to the bag size. Must admit I was nervous about overstuffing it and watching the bag fly off onto the highway... I'd recommend it for what it is, but would buy a bigger one for myself next go around..."

"I just purchased a new Thule 846 Quest Roof Bag, and found it was a good purchase because of it's great feature and great material. I went on vacation and it rain a lot on the way homeand some of our luggage bags got a little wet I forgot to put them in plastic because it wasnt water proof. I think some kind of a big plastic bag should came with it. Over all i still like it and will use a plastic bag with it next time.Anyone purchase one of these bags should like it."

"This product is great. I have used Thule for other roof accessories and have never been let down. Product shipped quickly with no defects. Installation was quick and easy. Takes a beating on the road yet never shows any signs of fatigue. Drove through rain and snow so far and the bag has yet to show any signs of damage. I would recommend this product."

"They look OK are giving them to my son-in-laws for Christmas so will not know about installation or use. One complaint is about the shipping. They arrived with the boxes coming apart. You could tell that they had been wet and standing out in the weather for sometime. When I got them the boxes were now dry but fallig apart. The strappings held the boxes somewhat together. Thank goodness the Roof Bag was in a plastic bag inside. I will not be able to ofeer the boxes with picture or use them to wrap, they were distroyed!"

"We just returned from an 1100 mile trip from Southern Californit to northen Nevada. During the trip we encountered rain and snow, the carrier kept everything dry. We had it filled to capasity and it was quite and to the best of my calculations did not add any measurable drag or affect our gas milage."

"We used the bag for a trip and it worked really well. Just as well as other more expensive bags that we have owned. The quality is good and the price is great. We used Space-saver bags, so that everything we packed was compacted and sealed from the rain, and it worked really well."

"Not bad for a bag instead of a hard carrier. It held a large suitcase with room around the sides for small bags. I used it on a 2100 mile trip and it worked as expected. It rained lightly for 40 minutes and the front half was mostly wet outside. After opening the bag I only found a little bit of water at the bottom front which was fine because it's not waterproof. I had everything wrapped in plastic just in case. The only complaint are the 4 straps used to tie it down were a little short. It would be nice if they were longer. I used 2 additional 12 foot tie downs to secure it to the rack and had no problem."

"Extremely pleased with product. Easy installation and appears to be top quality. Made a trip of 350 miles round trip with no issues. We fit clothes and linens in the bag for a week's vacation for a family of five. The only suggestion I have to make the product better is to include four additional straps to use in securing the sides of the bag (when securing bag on cross rails). I had to use plastic tie wraps."

"I can't believe I got 4 tents, 4 camp chairs, tarps, a small cooler, beach blankets - and a few other items packed into the bag and saved tons of room for legs in the car! We did get a lot of rain on our way home and this bag not only allows water in through the seams, but it holds the water. In all fairness, I was forewarned and did have trashbags to wrap all of my stuff in. I had to let the bag airdry for a few days. Keep stuff in the bag to hold it down or it will flap in the wind. Overall, I am happy with my purchase."

"This is the best overhead storage that have seen for the money. It is great for soft baggage. I don't think hard suit cases would do to good. I think they may scratch your paint on the top of your car. For the money, this thing was excellent. Bob "

"I took this bag on a 500 mile trip. The bag installed easy and stayed inplace the whole trip. I was suprised that there were no instructions that came with the bag. I also noticed a decrese of 1.5 mpg while the baf was on the truck."

"We drove from Marshall, NC to Ocean Isle Beach, NC and back (about 16 hours including stops)with the Quest and it was great! I never moved once during either trip. On the trip home it rained for a few hours and everything inside remained dry. I was very impressed with the performance especially for the money spent."

"The quality of the bag is not in doubt. Seems to have all the basics covered but when i put in top of my car it was bigger then my car roof rack. It took some maneuvering to get it to attach properly. Once it was secured it worked well"

"I have a jeep grand cheroke and 2 large dogs and 2 kids so there was no room for stuff when we travel. Bought this carrier for the price and I've used it once so far it was easy to strap to the luggage rails and it worked great!"

"For the price there isn't a better buy for cartop carriers. The price jump between this bag and a hardtop makes this the most useful and economical choice. I used it for a trip from Michigan to Georgia and had no problems."

"I had the bag on the roof of the vehicle during my recent trip to Florida. When I unpacked it all of the bottoms of the luggage as well as the clothing it were wet. I had rained off and on duirng the trip and I thought the materials were water proof/water resistant but I was incorrect. After 2 days the bag dried out, need to wash cloths and 3 days to air out the luggage"

"We are happy with our purchase of the Quest Roof bag. It met and exceeded our expectations. Only problem was the interior lining, i.e. the waterproof coating, didn't take long to start coming off. That's not unusual, but I wish there were a better way of waterproofing nylon fabrics."

"We purchased this roof bag for a trip to NH for a family reunion, we need the extra space in the vehicle. The bag was easy to install easy to pack, I am extremely happy with the overall quality of this bag. You will have to put things you don't want wet in plastic bags as it is not water proof, but for the money it is a good value."
