Great value

Posted on 09/27/2005 by Daniel D. (Grand Rapids,MI)

"Our new Quest bag proved its worth on a recent camping trip. We stuffed it full of odds and ends and had no problems with it at all. Our only gripe is that it is made for a longer rack(space between cross bars) and so that the rear mounting straps are difficult to attach. It would be nice if the straps swivelled around a little to give more mounting leeway."

Excellent Value

Posted on 09/13/2005 by Jason A. (West Bend,WI)

"Nice price, fast delivery. Used the bag for packing our camping gear, worked great. Was not a huge drag on the gas mileage. Easy installation on the Pontiac Vibe. Tons of room, will come in really handy for those family trips with the two kids in tow."

Thuling Along....Thule Quest Roof Bag

Posted on 09/08/2005 by Mary V. (Schenectady,NY)

"It's durable material, well made and quite easy to attach. Very good quality overall for the cost + the free shipping is a bonus. For my move from upstate NY to West Palm Beach, it fit my CRV nicely. [One thought- color selection should be included in order options. Although the gray is nice (it looks just like the photo), I'd prefer brown to match my car."

A nice way to store soft, bulky items...

Posted on 08/31/2005 by Taintor C. (South Berwick,ME)

"This is a nicely designed cargo roof bag. I used some stop skip foam (the stuff you put under area rugs) on the roof so it would not slip aropund. The CRV's Roof racks are just not far enough apart to take advantage of the aoerodynamic shape, however. I had to place the bag across the top to fit it best between the rails. I wish it was waterproof, and recommend packing everything stored in plastic if there is rain in the forecast!"

Thule Quest Roof Bag Review

"The Thule Roof Bag looks great and fits well with my Thule Rack, however I wish it was waterproof and not just water resistant."

Holds a lot

Posted on 08/30/2005 by Cynthia K. (Elk Grove,CA)

"The roof bag is great. It holds a lot of stuff and is easy to attach to the roof. It packs into a very small carrying bag when not in use. We took it across country through some really heavy rains and most of the stuff inside stayed dry. Some items near the front of the bag, even though there is a zipper with velcro closures, got a little damp."

roof storage bag

Posted on 08/30/2005 by Terry H. (Rockville,MD)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"Worked on our unusually designed roof rack (Saturn VUE). Easy to use, stayed on securely. Not as large as we'd hoped, didn't hold as much as we'd wanted. Also not totally rain-proof, so stuff did get pretty wet after spending several hours driving in pouring rain."

Well worth it

Posted on 08/29/2005 by Mary C. (Wharton,NJ)

"We found this roof bag to be very easy to use - easy to mount on the roof, easy to pack/unpack, and easy to pack-up and store away until next time. Much easier than a hard roof carrier and at a fraction of the cost."

Great performer

Posted on 08/29/2005 by Neal M. (Mabank,TX)

"Low wind resistance and built tough. As others have said, it is not waterproof. Storing in the small case provided is real plus over other hard carriers."

functional

Posted on 08/28/2005 by Joel G. (Yorkville,IL)

"Love the fact that after use you can fold it back up and store it vs. a hard carrier. Not as much space as I would have liked, but did offer the additional space for travelling."

Thule Quest Bag

Posted on 08/27/2005 by Richard G. (Novi,MI)

"I purchased the Thule Bag a couple days before travelling to the Outer Banks for Vacation. The bag delivered as promised as it was easily installed and loaded. It appears well made and durable. Kept items relatively dry even in heavy rainstorms."
