"These carriers will carry a very large tandem kayak. Mounting and securing the kayak has not been an issue at all. These are mounted a little farther apart than most as I am using them on an old boat trailer convert for kayaks. This works like a charm as it is too difficult to lift the tandem on top of our vehicle."

"I now have three Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carriers on my trailer. Thule makes a great product that is very easy to install. Loading the kayaks onto the carrier is also easy and the J design allows for proper support of my kayaks. The tie-down straps offer great and secure restraint. Directions are simple to follow. I shopped around and Autoanything.com offered the best price...especially with the free shipping."

"When I recieved my wood strip kayak, I was hesistant on which rack to purchase that would be sturdy and secure enough to hold my boat. I was really happy reading the previous good reviews of the j-rack. It was very easy to install and I like the fact that it is very easy to load the boat, cinch it in, and go!"

"When my girlfriend decided to purchase a kayak I had to have a means of transporting two kayaks as opposed to one. I purchased two of the Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak carriers which we installed on my vehicle the same day they arrived. The instructions were very clear and installation was easy. The carriers worked very well and we spent three days kayaking the waters of the Chesapeake Bay."

"Outstanding product! Extremely easy to use and works well both of my vehicles. I am very pleased that everyting you need to safely transport a kayak now comes in one box. "Even working by myself, I had no problem attaching the hull-a-port to the factory rack on my minivan and getting my kayak (recreational type, 9.5 ft, 35 lbs) up onto the hull-a-port and securely fastened. The trick with the minivan is to use a stepstool. I have not driven much with it yet, but I did test it out and was impressed by how secure the kayak appears to be in the rack, even at highway speeds."

"I have owned the Thule Hull-A-Port Carrier for 2 weeks and I am pleased to see how easy it is to load my 2 kayaks. My wife can load and unload her kayak with ease and without any assistance. The true test will be when we travel a long distance at the end of the summer. Thus far, we are pleased with the results."

"I bought this to carry my Ocean Kayak Malibu Two ( a wide tandem sit-on-top) and it has been awesome. I 2 1/2 hour drive on the interstate has seen no problems. The straps & rachets hold it tight and steady. We are very pleased."

"This is our second Hull-a-Port carrier and is even better than the first one. The re-designed bar that attaches to the roof racks makes it even easier to mount and remove. There are now straps supplied to secure the kayak fore and aft to the vehicle. We find it a quick,easy to use and very secure mounting for transporting our boats."

"This carrier is one of a kind with its quality, efficiency, and durability. We placed these racks on top of our Explorer to pick up our new kayaks and loading was a breeze. "This system is easy to put on your vehicle, works well and does allow you to carry lots of other stuff on your roof. It's easy to steal though(a thief has my first one), so I have to take it off whenever I paddle."
