The Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Rack offers a new slant on the kayak rack. The unique J-style carrier gets your ocean or whitewater boat on its side, freeing up room on the roof for a second kayak, a bike or any gear you can rack.
With the Thule Hull-A-Port kayak rack, loading couldn't be easier. Just dump it on the padded cradle and cinch it down tightly and securely with the two provided ratcheting tie-down straps. For better fuel economy and more overhead clearance, choose the PRO Hull-A-Port. It's design allows it to fold down when not in use. Both Hull-A-Port models are built in the USA and boast all-metal attachment hardware and UV-resistant covering on the pads for long life. Your Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier is covered by a Lifetime Warranty.

I bought the Pro model, and it has been a wonderful choice,, reliable, Sturdy,,, practical, easy installation on oval crossbar but needs re-tightening periodically while transporting the kayak for extra safety .. I am getting a second one now

I bought this carrier so I could carry my kayak with me while pulling my RV. I would rather have purchased something that makes loading the Kayak easier, but I could not justify the added expense some other models require. All in all, this carrier works as expected is durable, good looking, and sturdy.

Ordered and received the rack in a speedy fashion. Item arrived as described. Good instructions on how to mount it. Following the guide for my make/model/year I see that the rack can be mounted using the 45 65 or 85mm bolts.I knew I needed to use the 85mm carriage bolts...... but the rack doesnt SHIP with 85mm bolts. I have to find them on my own. M6x85mm carriage bolts are not common. I had to order them on line because NONE of my local hardware stores carry them. wish I new in advance!
