Creeking down Class IV whitewater rapids can be hair-raising. Transporting your kayak to your starting point doesn’t have to be when you load your boat into a Yakima HullRaiser Aero Kayak Rack. This ingenious kayak berth keeps your vessel firmly planted to your roof for safe traveling, even if you’re headed to dangerous destinations.
Your kayak should be gliding over water, not sailing off your roof on the highway. That’s why Yakima designed your HullRaiser Aero Kayak Rack with a triple-shot of security. First, the pair of heavy-duty straps with padded buckles fuse your kayak into the cradles. Then, the bow and stern lines stabilize the nose and tail of your vessel. Lastly, the generous padding in the J-Cradles lets you tighten down the straps without harming your hull.
The versatile Yakima HullRaiser Aero mounts to both round and square crossbars, as well as most factory roof racks. The space-saving J-Cradles also leave plenty of extra room for mounting cargo carriers, bikes or a second kayak. Lifetime Warranty.
Our 3+ Yakima HullRaiser Aero Kayak Rack customer reviews have an average rating of 4.50 out of 5 stars. To see specific reviews about your vehicle, please select your year, make and model from the drop down above.

It was very easy to setup and configure. Within a few days of receiving the rack we used it to take the kayak on a road trip. It performed very well. There were no problems.

The rack arrived very quickly in a well packaged box. I installed the racks on my Rav4 roof cross bars in a matter of minutes. Couldn't ask for better service and quality. I'll probably buy another set of Yakima racks for my wife's kayak.

Purchased two sets of hull raisers and installed them on my GMC Yukon. Assembly was very simple as was the installation on the Yukon. This is not a knock on the hull raisers but the kayaks are very high when mounted on a Yukon, and a little hard to load. Next time I will opt for a set of hully rollers from Yakima which would be easier to load on a high vehicle.

Easy to load boats, even without additional help. With 2 sets of mounts, I can carry 2 boats on my factory cross bars. Looked at the BIGSTACK from Yakima, but it looked like I might need an additional person to hold one boat, while I loaded the other.
