I bought this to fit inside my Thule soft carrier (which has been known to let water in) and the liner works as advertised 100%. We saw some major summer thunderstorms on a recent trip to Virginia and I had my fingers crossed that the PackRight liner would come through. Everything was bone dry! The liner is much, much bigger than I thought (which is a good thing) and I was able to stuff all kinds of suitcases and bags in them. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this PackRight. It was one of my best buys in a long time!

I own a Thule Quest cargo bag which after first use on my trip to Florida proved not so rain resistant. During my trip the weather was not cooperating and water found its way in, despite all the Velcro and protective material. I'm not dogging the product, it was one time incident and driving in such severe weather conditions is probably not all that common. I was more less surprised rather than disappointed to find the contents damp. With that said I got the liner for $20 to prevent any more future surprises. The liner looks like an over-sized garbage bag with a cord at the end to close the opening. The material seems durable enough that the sun heat has no effect on bag's integrity. So far so good, but don't take my word for it and test it yourself.

We used the cargo bag on a 1200 mile round trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. We also purchased the water proof liner and the protective pad for the top of the van. We drove through several rain showers and had no problems with anything getting wet. We carefully followed the instructions for installing the bag and straps. We will definitely use again for future trips.
