"we have no luggage racks so we had to run the straps thru the car. we also purchased the non-slip pad....this is a MUST with no luggage rack. it did stay in place even at 70 mph. the torrential rain storm we went thru was ok. we stopped and had lunch so it sat in the pouring rain and did soak up a little from the bottom but nothing was as soaked as we thought it would be. the straps running thru the car let rain run down them and into the car which is the only set back. still extremely happy with how much it holds and the ease of it."

"I own a 2006 Ford Focus and would recommend this product for other owners who need the extra cargo space. I don't have a roof rack and this product works great. I wish that the PackRight Car Clip Strap Set worked for my car but it didn't so don't waste the money as the car top carrier works fine without it. You will need to run the straps through the car but really it wasn't an issue. I used this on a beach vacation about 5 hours away with my two kids and wife in the car and as you know the focus doesn't have a ton of space but this product made it possible to pack my car full and enjoy my vacation while not leaving anything behind! Also it stored away in a small pouch in the trunk when not in use - LOVE IT!"

"We bought it so that we could travel with our dog in the back of our Saturn VUE. We have two young boys also and were planning a week long trip more than 9 hours away. The carrier not only fit everything we needed it to, there was extra space left over for more. We also hit a really bad rain storm for the first 2 hours of our trip, but all of our cargo stayed dry, even a couple of loose sweatshirts/coats we threw up there last minute!"
