I overall I like the system, however since my paddle board is a little wider I need longer cross bars to make the system work perfectly.

No indication in product description that rails were needed on the car to be able to install this rack. Turned out we had to buy them extra

I like everything about this rack, from its cost to its design. I especially appreciate that I didn't have to permanently install it, so... when I'm not hauling the kayak around, I don't have to put up with the mileage drag from an empty rack. This is a really substantial product, and I am not afraid to head on down the interstate with my kayak attached to the roof. My only wish is that they had a better set of installation instructions. I spent about an hour, on what could have probably been a 15 minute installation.
