Unfortunately we bought the bag to travel from Miami to Orlando driving speed limit on the Turnpike of 70 miles per hr and around 1 hr and a half from Orlando we heard in the roof like a tapping zone. When we stopped to check what was going on the bag had ripped on one side and it was totally opened. We where able to make it to Orlando like this but at a slower speed to avoid anymore breakage. The bag is a good idea if only the workmanship of it is extremely strong and approved for wind.

I got the rooftop carrier for a family road trip. Once installed we were able to fit all of our luggage so the kids had more room in the car. We left during a blizzard so the bag was subject to ice, wind, and snow for 300 miles of our trip. When we got to our final destination the bag was in tact and the luggage was dry. The bag worked as advertised, the one draw back would be that the bulky shape of the bag may have caused some wind resistence.

When we received the cargo bag, I was a little worried about how small it looked. No worries! It held all of our luggage for our ski trip! We had plenty of room inside the car for our children! Great product!

Very pleased with my recent purchase. I rated all 4 because of their quality , appearance, value of $. Although i have not installed it yet but i can tell that its a piece of cake to install approximately 10minutes. My only concerns is the length of the belt which i believe will an annoying sound once you drove, however you need to secure properly. This is a good product for the quality value and i highly recommend for those who would like this product.

I bought this rooftop cargo bag at the last minute before leaving for a week long camping trip. It worked great and was much cheaper than the hard shell rooftop case that I was considering. I believe that it actually has more storage capacity than most of the hard shell cases. It was raining when we left, yet everything remained dry. Very good value.

Am I good to go with just the cargo bag? Or do I have to buy racks too?

Hi, A base rack system will be required to attach the bag to the roof if your car doesn't have factory roof rails. http://www.autoanything.com/roof-racks/61A5774A0A0.aspx
