If your interstate starship (aka: the family Astro Van) is getting so cramped that an hour drive to grandma's feels like it takes light years, it's time to give your crew some extra elbow room by packing your gear in the Yakima RocketBox Cargo Box. Like a booster rocket for your roof, the RocketBox holds all your travel essentials, from luggage and Tang to fishing tackle and space ice cream.
Designed to fit perfectly on rides with smaller roofs, the Yakima RocketBox boasts a more compact footprint than traditional rooftop cargo boxes. But, it's still packed with out-of-this-world features, like dual-side opening, push-button access and SKS lock cylinders to keep Jabba's space goons from making off with your valuables.
Thanks to its smart mounting design, Yakima RocketBox Cargo Boxes fit securely to round, square and oval-shaped crossbars. Inside each one's belly is 12 cubic feet of weather-protected storage, so you can drive through rain showers–or meteor showers–without fear. Plus, you get a Lifetime Warranty.

Love it. The 11 cubic feet is certainly not the biggest, so if you have a lot of gear go up in size. But this is perfect for my needs of 2 huge climbing packs of gear and a tad more. Yakima makes a bomber product. Love that you have to lock it when you close it.

This retailer was good to work with, but I am disappointed with the Yakima product. The front of the cargo box does not remain closed while in motion. The front end opens up partially. Two big issues are obvious: a significant increase in wind drag which increases noise and decreases fuel mileage, and introduces rain into the box interior. I regret this purchase.

I recieved my Yakima RocketBox Pro 12 in three days of placing order. Nice. Installation was quick onto INNO IN-SU carrier rack system once easy adjustment was sized to fit. Access to box is generous. Although partially covering vehicle antenea no distrubion occurs.

I installed the unit about a week ago and have drivem around just to see it had any unfavourable effect on the 2012 honda crv we recently purchased. Under all speeds and conditions,(not loaded) I didn;t even know it was there. Very little noise. Going Vegas and Disneyland soon with two extra people and a power chair on the back and the carrier loaded. We'll see. I will let AutoAnything know if there were any problems.
