This roof rack will not fit with the stock rear bumper! This is not advertised anywhere, until you receive the installation instructions. Rack works great just wish I would've known that I couldn't reinstall my bumper.

Recd the well packaged rack quickly even though it was very heavy, it shipped fast. Installation was simple as I reused my rear bumper, no surprises. Looks good, works good. Very strong.

Rack is well built. Very poor instructions. factory Rear bumper on jeep wrangler can't be used unless alternate mount is used , drilling into jeep body. Fit not great, rack materials are heavy duty.

This rack does a good job of tieing into solid places on the Jeep. Went together fairly easy but getting the door hinge screws out is harder than it looks. I ended up drilling them out. There is a LOT of wind noise above 40 mph but nearly all of it can be eliminated by leaving the first 2 cross bars off until you need them.

The rack was difficult to get assembled onto the car, but once it is on you won't want to take it off. I didn't have any problems with road noise. I did have to remove the end caps off of my rear bumper, but I think it looks better anyway. The only issue I have is that I can't get the passenger side upper bar to line up correctly. Not a huge deal, just an inconvenience. I would also recommend getting a few extra turn handles that hold on the cross bars, I over tightened one and it broke.

Took awhile to install. Definitely a two person job but once on you could land a helicopter on it. I thought it might be too much superstructure but blends in well. Overall a great product.

When I first opened up the boxes for this, I immediately thought "this is the best roof rack I ever could have chosen." The size of the tubing was larger than most of the competition and quality looked great. But as I started assembling the rack, I then began to see the flaws that began to make it a major challenge to install and it started to lose its appeal in my mind. In a nutshell, the top front bracket didn't fit perfectly. It appeared like it was slightly deformed during the manufacturing process and took some bending and forcing to get it to fit at all. The same also applied to two top cross bars which also seemed to be slightly "twisted" in that one end would bolt down and the other was no longer facing downward toward the other screw hole. I was able to force it again with a c-clamp and bolt it down, but it doesn't look perfect and the top-front bracket that mounted to the windshield bolts still looks slightly off. The minor annoyance that this has for me is that it hums really loud at 45 mph and higher if I have the top cross bars on (removable horizontal cross bars.) Other than those issues, I love this rack. I probably could contact SmittyBilt and have them resend the parts, but I don't want to deal with the hassle. Maybe I just lucked out and no one else will have this same experience.

installing was very straight forward, except a small problem with alignment of holes, but would recommend this rack for anyone having a need for a roof rack for a two door jeep wrangler. very sturdy

I have the 'factory' bumpers...not the metal ones depicted. How does the rear portion attach to the jeep?
