Ive only had the rack on for a short time so haven't really put it to the test, but it was easy to install and seems good and sturdy. I live in Alaska so sometimes delivery is a problem here. Auto Anything got it here on time and at a reasonable cost.

I had been shopping around for a rack for a few months, and was shocked at the price of this rack. I had thought about the larger racks that cover the top of the jeep. However I didn't like the idea of needing help (to hold up the rack) just to remove the t-tops. This rack is the perfect size. It covers just behind the t-tops all the way to the back. It's almost as wide as the top. It really makes the jeep look much tougher. It will allow a person to have lots of extra storage space for trips, an extra spare tire, and space for a high lift jack, and shovel and axe storage. My next add-on is going to be 4 hella 6" lights on the new rack. One item to note the factory hardware bolts need to be 1/2 inch longer. They give you 8 total. You can use 4 of them, but you will need to buy 4 longer ones. Other than that this rack is perfect!!!

Very easy to install! I was very happy mounting this rack on my 07 Jk 4 door wrangler. I would not recomend this rack for heavy duty , but great for lighter applications. I mounted this rack to put the 80lb. spare tire on the roof and so far it has done very well. I highly recomend making aluminum plates to support the inside of the fiberglass. The kit comes with no backer plates, so buyer should re enforce with anything on the inside to spread the weight of the rails above. Other than that, this rack does a great job for alot of less money, and very easy to install. Aluminum wont rust over time, like steel racks will, so another plus for this one!

The Surco Safari Rack is a high quality rack. The system is put together very well and has a good tough powder coating. The only downfall in my case was I have a four door Wrangler with no roof rack. The supplied brackets were a little too tall for my liking so I had to improvise. Bob
