I just have to say I really like my transporter cargo box. I did have to figure some of the instructions out with washers but all in all easy to put together. I put it on the back of a yukon to put together and then tested to see how it worked. It hinged down nicely and locked to open the tailgate. I also drove with it on and never new it was back there. On the Yukon it's below the glass so you don't even see it. I did ultimately buy it for the back of a camper.Havent used it yet.

We needed extra space while traveling with our pets & the Thule Cargo Box is just what we needed. After checking our several other similar boxes, we found the Thule Cargo Box to be the absolute best buy. The quality and craftsmanship of this unit is amazing. If Thule still made the model that swings out instead of tilting down like the model we purchased, I think we would have bought that model. The other brands out there look nice, but do not compare to the High Quality & durability of Thule!

Easy to install. Took about 30-45 min by myself to install. We can open the upper part of our hatch without tilting the box away. And also we can open the bottom half of the hatch completely when tilted. All pieces and tools were included. All lights and hookups work great. Holds a lot more than it would appear. We can get about 3 rolling luggage bags inside. Looks great on the car and the locks work great as well.

The Thule Transporter Cargo Box is fantastic for adding useable cargo space while not impacting fuel economy or adding wind noise. The tilt away option allows the tailgate to open even when the box is installed. The only negative I have to say about this item is that it sticks out close to four feet behind the vehicle which can be a little ungainly in tighter parking lots. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to add cargo capacity to their vehicle.

The Thule Transporter Cargo Box is very sporty. Holds up great. Was delivered earlier than expected and priced just right, just in time for my Christmas trip to Ohio. Thanks

I purchased the Thule Cargo box for my 2008 Tahoe. We travel with kids and a dog, so we need all the room we can get. Ups: Installation was really easy (maybe 35 mins total) and operation is easy as well. Downs: The lid (as opposed to the base) is thin plastic and in my pinion the lock could be more substantial. Recos: Light kit is not designed for a round trailer plug. You have to buy a converter kit (which is cheap)to properly configure.

High quality cargo carrier great if you need to carry a watercraft on your roof rack. Easy to use once you get it assambled. Obviously easier to load than a rooftop carrier, you might like it just for that reason. My Ford Taurus wagon's tailgate opens all the way without tipping the unit forward.
