Very glad to have the detailed online installation instructions with close up photos of strap configurations. It still took us awhile to get it right! We didn't find a good way to connect the bottom straps to the car and decided that it was secure enough without them. We've used a rooftop bag without roof rails where the straps come inside and across the ceiling. The rear saddlebag was better than that because there is no wind noise and more aerodynamic

The saddlebag was easy to set up and attach to our vehicle. It holds enough gear for all of the passengers and frees up space for passengers to be comfortable and not give up comfort for gear.

We bought the Rightline Gear Cargo Saddlebag to carry our tent & camping gear for our big cross-country trip to the Grand Canyon. Our minivan fills up fast with goods to feed, clothe, & entertain 3 small children. Per others' recommendations, we put a covered sturdy piece of plywood on the bottom. The Saddlebag: - Gave us needed space to travel efficiently & effectively - Was fairly easy to assemble & install - Is no worse for wear after 1,300+ miles over mountains & through deserts

Although we have yet to take our trip, the "dry run" has been very satisfactory. When the saddlebag first arrived, I did open it up in the air to gas out the odor from the pvc....I have slight sensitivity. It aired out in no time. Quality is very good. I have a plastic under the bed storage container that adds to give shape in the bag.,.so no complaints here. Thumbs up from a "mature" tiny female.

Used for a family vacation to save space in our van. Worked Great. The only issue with it was putting the metal tubing under the bag together. Had to force them together as there was to much paint on the ends. Not a big deal though. Look forward to buying more items from Auto Anything again.

The product buckles are made of cheap plastic that break easily and leave you stranded if you are not near an auto parts store so that you can purchase new tie downs made of quality metal buckles.

The bag is large and worked well on a 14 hour trip we recently took. That said, it is far from perfect. The "frame" that comes with the bag is ill fitting on the bottom of the bag and the velcro straps intended to hold it in place are not strong enough (or long enough). Kind of tough to put on the car, but once it is on well it stays. Be sure you buy the clips if you don't have a roof rack!

Used the saddle bag for a 800mile trip -did what it was supposed to do -- I made a pvc pipe frame and added a support bottom out of foam insulation board which made installation a 5 minute job!Pay attention to the 100lb weight limit especially for vehicles that do NOT have a roof rack

We are traveling from Florida to Maryland and then New York and need all the space we can get. We considered a rooftop carrier but didn't want the hit on mpg. This bag holds quite a bit and is easy to set up. I just wish it came with poles for the sides in addition to the ones on the bottom. Not a huge issue, though.

Tried to install before winter travel and gave up. Temperature was in 20's and zippers were almost impossible to zip around corners, fabric was rigid and strap adjustments extremely difficult in those conditions. Had to give up and not use this as planned. These problems may be only cold-related, but even in warm temp's, installation is a two person job and you'll need a ladder or someone 6'+.
