If you're going to go to the trouble of asking my make and model of car, then you should be able to provide hooks so that I don't have to have the strap on my head the whole trip

I recently drove over 22 hours from Maryland to Louisiana in HEAVY rains from Hurricane Joaquin that appeared to follow us on our trip. I packed my clothes in Zip bags and then into the Top Carrier. I was very worried not knowing if the Top Carrier could withstand the heavy rains we drove through -- it was REALLY tested on this drive. So I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived in LA and unpacked to find NOT one clothing item was wet or damp. This Top Carrier is amazing!

Carrier worked well but took an hour to install and load. Also, I was sold hooks for $24.95 to make it work on my car but it came with hooks so I was misled and it cost me $25.

The actual car carrier is great and the design works well for cars without a roof rack. The included clips and strapping system us of inferior quality and instructions are difficult to follow. However $10 at parts store (probably less at Walmart) and Good set of tie downs solved that!! Clips broke while tightening - I like that comfortable twang of a nice tight straps.

Provided clips didn't fit my corolla . Bought new ratcheting tie downs and it worked fine going through car . Didn't rain so can't comment on waterproof qualities . Purchased the optional mat ,would recommend it . A good value .

I bought this Sport Jr to save space in our trunk for our puppy. I don't have a rack for my Golf, and it was no issue with this carrier. I used the existing clips and 2 straps. I didn't buy the mat, but had some leftover carpet liner, which worked perfectly. No scratches No movement. It took some adjustment on the fly to reduce wind noise. But once done, it was quite quiet. Worked well for the 11 hr trip from PGH to Charlotte. My only complaint is the zipper. Doesn't feel too sturdy

Though it doesn't appear very large, we fit a great deal of bulky stuff into it. The big problem is we didn't check the straps before we were set to leave. The package only contains 2 sets. For cars without roof racks, 4 are needed. We had to tie it with cord. The strap across the interior of the car rested on the top of my husband's head - but was a minor inconvenience. Pack fully and if you purchase the anti-slip mat,cut it to size otherwise it smacks loudly against roof as driving.
