Trying to fit this on to the stock rear bumper bolts was a nightmare (even for an aircraft mechanic). Once installed, the rack made a lot of wind noise at 40mph +. After one week, rack is laying in garage and on craigslist.

I knew it would be noisy based on previous reviews. It would seem to me that, if they actually read these reviews, that they would include the bar wraps that help with the noise and also pad whatever is going on the rack. Also, ended up taking the whole thing to my mechanic to install. My hubby couldn't get the door hinge bolts to budge on my jeep, not a rack problem, but, my mechanic said if he knew how much trouble this thing was going to be, he would have charged me more money.

Very difficult to take screws out of jeep window bracket. Rack is very shaky after instal. The screw in handles are a joke. They are plastic and the nuts inside twist and are unable to tighten. The weight limit is also very low.

I had a few problems with the rack. First off I don't run doors in the summer, my mirror brackets don't work, I'll have to have something made up. I got two left upper gaskets but no right. The overhead bars have two holes in one end and just one in the other, it doesn't say in the instructions which way is forward. The nuts for the rear brackets stripped before I could get it tight enough not to rack with minor pressure. Had to purchase other bolts and nuts. I bought it to transport a kayak.

Built really well. Easy install. Fast delivery. I'm a pretty active Kyaker and cyclist so i need a rack that can support my lifestyle yet work well with my jeep this rack meets all my requirments. Def recommended.

Pleased with the purchase. Used it this weekend to haul 4 kayaks behind a motorhome. A little side to side movement, but since it's behind a motorhome it was blocked from most head wind. Installed it with my son in 3 hours...would have been a lot less if the rear mounts to the bumper fit. We had to drill out the holes. Otherwise, quite pleased :)

Recd the well packaged rack quickly even though it was very heavy, it shipped fast. Installation was simple as I reused my rear bumper, no surprises. Looks good, works good. Very strong.

This rack does a good job of tieing into solid places on the Jeep. Went together fairly easy but getting the door hinge screws out is harder than it looks. I ended up drilling them out. There is a LOT of wind noise above 40 mph but nearly all of it can be eliminated by leaving the first 2 cross bars off until you need them.

The rack was difficult to get assembled onto the car, but once it is on you won't want to take it off. I didn't have any problems with road noise. I did have to remove the end caps off of my rear bumper, but I think it looks better anyway. The only issue I have is that I can't get the passenger side upper bar to line up correctly. Not a huge deal, just an inconvenience. I would also recommend getting a few extra turn handles that hold on the cross bars, I over tightened one and it broke.

Took awhile to install. Definitely a two person job but once on you could land a helicopter on it. I thought it might be too much superstructure but blends in well. Overall a great product.
