Nice upgrade over my old rear rearing opening Thule. Clamp on attachment points are easy to adjust and appear to give secure mounting to a factory roof rails. A bit pricey compared to other options on the market but not something you need to buy very often and will hopefully last many years.

I'd looked at these for a couple of years and never pulled the trigger. I tried to buy it locally but after paying for, got sideways with the salesman/installer. I returned it and ordered it for the same price (as their sales price), no tax, no shipping and no aggravation from a company that doesn't realize that they are competing with the internet. Everything worked fairly well but it was a pain to talk to the shipping company to schedule the delivery that had to be signed for.

The only problem I see is the 4 clamping knobs inside are in the way of packing certain items inside the cargo box, preventing items to lay flat.

We purchased the box for a CA to FL trip. With more than 3,370 miles in 10 days the box was great. Nothing got in, all the rain we went thru and everything stayed dry.Mileage was affected, but not by much, 2-3 mpg. Probably more to do with all the additional weight and not the box directly. Easy to put on and off by one person.

I bought the cargo box to take on a 2600 mile camping trip from Charlotte through Florida this Spring. It is very easy to access with my step stool. I felt like my car was off balance the first day, removed some weight and it handled much better. It reduced my gas mileage about four mpg from a smaller cargo box I used previously. It's relatively quiet and everything stayed dry. Overall, a very good value.

I bought this to transport Christmas gifts and such on a 2000-mile trip. It worked great. There was no movement, noise or perceptible reduction in MPG. And it was easy to install. It performed well in deep snow and sub-zero temperatures. I would recommend it.
