With fixed roof rails, the spacer bars were about 2 inches off from being centered. Not a real problem for performance, safety, just not ideal.

It's well built and seems up to the task. I have two concerns, though. 1. It's very heavy. I imagine it's steel ... there is no aluminum or lighter metals used here. 2. The wind guard is made of heavy-duty plastic and I can see this getting worn over time. I plan to spray this thing with matte clear coat before using.

Sold my Jeep with Yakima load warrior and had been looking for a replacement since. Found the right one with this Rola rack and extension for my Sequoia. Highly recommend this rack. Install is manageable solo within 2 hours. Get rubber silicone spray in advance (wish I did this) as you'll need some help getting the gaskets over the bolts to keep it water tight. There is more noise with this rack then I've experienced with others and I lost 2 mpg's on our first camping trip with it loaded up.

Very pleased with this cargo basket. It is very well made, and very sturdy. Easy to put together with the extension section.. The screws all come with rubber washers so they screw in tightly. Also the kit comes with thick rubber gasket sleeves that go over where the rack is joined together, which is a brilliant idea because it prevents any water from getting into the inside of the rack or rusting the screws. Best rooftop cargo rack for a great price!

Just what I wanted to fit my full size suv, carries 4 suitcases and a baby pack and play without stacking when used with the extender. Fits the top of my 2015 Yukon (not XL) perfectly

Solid, well built. I purchased the extender center piece, assembled the rack on the ground it took a while but I followed the instructions, did it by myself, then mounted to the roof. I'm 60. Read the assembly instructions makes it easier.

Everything went together fine, the product itself is very functional and practical. It's about 50 lbs. so that limits my total load on top to about 100lbs if following the specs of factory crossbars, but I pushed a little over 100 lbs with no problems. Needed two TALL people to fit it on the top and to get the mounts to stay in the right place before securing it.

For the price, the Rola cargo basket is a great option over its more expensive counterparts from Thule and Yakima. Easy to put together. With the extension added and to be installed on a large SUV such as our Armada, a second set of hands is definitely needed to get this onto the factory roof rack/rails. I would've given the Rola 5-stars but unfortunately, they don't offer locking brackets.
