INNO Base Rack System Reviews

inno rack good purchase

I was a little skeptical of not buying a bigger name like Thule or Yakimakimakama, or even Saris. This rack was pretty easy to install. I was also leary about the silver rack on a black car (2009 Honda Fit Sport) but it actually looks great. Needed the rack to carry a canoe because the honda fit sport has a goofy spoiler on the back. There is a little wind noise, not to noticible and wierdly not audible at all at higher speeds. I could add on the fairing if it gets to be too much. I was uneasy about the metal on paint contact in the clamps so I cut a small piece of bike innertube and used that. Other than those things, great little rack, nice looking and easy to install.

It will prevent scratches to my roof, and that's why I purchased it.

Very sturdy

Reviewed By Michael S (Little Elm, TX) Reviewed for a 2005 Chevy Suburban —2/17/2010 5:15 AM

Just purchased this to take a 2,000 mile trip up into the mountains. It only took a few minutes to put together and was able to install it myself. I used a tarp and some wrench straps to keep all of the luggage dry and together and had 0 problems. The carrier was sturdy, without much play in the receiver when loaded down. Would definitely recommend this, especially over a roof rack. I got about 19mpg in a completely loaded Suburban which wouldn't have been possible with a bunch of luggage strapped to the top.
