Does the job, it is not "universal" check your racks before purchasing, had to modify the brackets to fit my BMW base rack.

My girlfriend and i bought them for an LL Bean tandem kayak we just purchased. The Yakimas hold that 14' baby beautifully! The rubber on the saddle area is a huge help and guarantees its securely gripped! I drove from Freeport, ME to Southern, MA, the included straps were a huge help and are perfect for the job! Also there positioning allows plenty of room away form the cars to minimize any scratching or damaging. I would recommend this product to anyone getting any size kayak.

install is little bit involved so keep few hours for that. Distance between cross bars is very important and it varies by person. You should be comfortable able to pull the clips on arms and move kayak up at the same time. If you have tandem kayak, it might get tricky to manage the distance between arms because you want to tie the kayak where you have hull (not seating). All in all i really like the kayak, they should have included the locks for the price they charge, i highly recommend it.
