Got the job done

Reviewed By Mark N (LAS VEGAS, NV) Reviewed for a 2013 Buick Encore —1/15/2016 8:31 AM

Used this to house some suitcases during a cross-country move. Held up pretty well. Although, after 11 hours of driving, it developed a tear on one of the front corners, which did leak when we drove through wet conditions. This size was listed as compatible with a Buick Encore, but was definitely too big to fit between the roof racks, so a portion of the front and back walls had to be folded underneath.

Wonderful alternative to roof rail system!

Reviewed By Julie P (Sterling Heights, MI) Reviewed for a 2011 Buick Enclave —2/26/2012 4:03 PM

We purchased this carrier to hold luggage for a family of 6 to travel from Michigan to Florida. We have a leased Buick Enclave and didn't want to spend the money purchasing the cross rails to be able to use a hard sided roof carrier. This was the only option out there I could find that did not require a roof rail system. At first, the straps seemed confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it is extremely easy to install. We removed the short pieces from all straps and still had more than enough to go around. Please note that the optional clip strap set did not work with the Enclave. We used the non slip pad under it and I think that definitely reduced some potential noise. On the return trip, the pad somehow got a bit crumpled underneath and I could hear a bit of vibration noise once in awhile. Be careful to pack things so it fills out the sides and nothing is loose or you will probably hear some vibration. One other drawback is that we got a lot of wind noise inside the car since the strap prevents the rubber seal from fully blocking that out. The way ours was packed, we couldn't get all the velcro to go together, but since we never drove through rain, I cannot comment on how it holds up against water. All in all, an excellent purchase if you don't want to invest a lot more money in roof rails and a hard luggage carrier.

Car Top Carrier is Tops in my book!

Reviewed By Carolee B. H (SALT LAKE CITY, UT) Reviewed for a 2002 Toyota Camry —10/15/2016 2:37 PM

I used the Sport 2 Carrier on a recent 4-day getaway to have room for a 3rd person and all his stuff, including a big telescope which was awesome in the mountains! The carrier worked like a dream with great performance as our trip started out in heavy rain! Everything in the carrier was safe and dry, and it freed up the space we needed inside the car. It'll be perfect for even more stuff for our family reunion next summer, and for camping. Just what we needed, I'm very happy with this purchase!
