CURT Roof Mounted Cargo Rack Reviews

Nice rack!

I purchased the extended model to fit my Chevy Traverse. It was fairly easy to assemble and took about 20 minutes to mount to the vehicle. The included hardware fit my SUV's crossbars snugly. My only complaint is that one of the screw holes on the extension assembly stripped out fairly easily. It was not over-tightened. The others are snug and I was able to replace the nut in the tube with another I had around my shop. It's a good deal for the price - I would purchase again.

Great Cargo Carrier

Reviewed By Mary R (Tiffin, OH) Reviewed for a 2009 Chevy Traverse —10/16/2009 1:38 PM

Installed and used this cargo carrier the same week it arrived. Being an older female I found this carrier very easy to assemble and just a tad heavy to lift into the hitch by myself. I used it in the folded up position and no noise from bouncing. I did acquire two locking hitch pins to use so it would not be stolen when parked at hotel overnight. I think this will be a great addition on camping trips when we start hauling a generator along!

Happy Camper

Everything was pretty easy installation wise. My only gripe would be that the brackets that secure the basket should be checked a little more thoroughly. QC definitely should take a look into this issue. I just ran a die over the threads and problem solved. But the average person would probably have stripped them. Overall I'm overwhelmingly satisfied. Looks great and the serviceability is 2nd to none.
