Compared to other brands, this system is much less expensive. I paid someone to install it on my minivan.. My son and i load and unload very easily.. Put many miles on this past week and loaded and unloaded daily..It was great. Kayaks stayed secure while traveling.

Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier Reviews

sturdy and easy to set up

Reviewed By Marc O (Manlius, NY) Reviewed for a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country —8/4/2006 7:17 AM

Even working by myself, I had no problem attaching the hull-a-port to the factory rack on my minivan and getting my kayak (recreational type, 9.5 ft, 35 lbs) up onto the hull-a-port and securely fastened. The trick with the minivan is to use a stepstool. I have not driven much with it yet, but I did test it out and was impressed by how secure the kayak appears to be in the rack, even at highway speeds.
