Thule 682 Sidekick Roof Cargo Box Reviews

A great box for a great price!!!

Reviewed By Manuel A (Vega Alta, PR) Reviewed for a 2011 Dodge Dakota —9/13/2006 9:37 AM

I ordered this box a week before my trip from Ohio to Niagara Falls, Canada. I was afraid that I would not get it on time but the great service and fast Free shipping proved me wrong. I ordered it on Monday and received it on Thursday. The box is very easy to assemble and I needed no help. It looks small but can take a lot in it. My party consisted of 4 adults, 1 child and 1 dog and the stay was of 4 days. I drive a 2005 Jeep Liberty which doesn't have a lot of cargo space in the back. I was able to comfortably fit one medium size suit case, one small suit case, one medium dog kennel (disassembled), two small camping chairs and one back-pack. The box handled very strong winds with no sings of distress and quite some rain without a drop of water getting in. It attaches perfectly to the original Jeep Liberty Roof Rack and Cross Bars (I had to buy the cross bars separately from my Jeep dealership, since they were not included with the vehicle). Overall a great product for a great price from a great web-site!!!! Thanks so much!! I will recommend both the box and the web-site to all my friends and all the readers.

Pro Series Hitch Mounted Cargo Carriers Reviews

Works Great

Reviewed By Reid W (Henderson, NV) Reviewed for a 2016 Hyundai Tucson —5/21/2016 7:56 PM

When I first put it on the sleave rocked from side to side about a 1/8 of an inch. Which when towing with items on it was from side to side was about 4 inches. Talked to costumer service and was told to torque it down more to 75 lbs. Seems like your going to strip the threads but you won't. Works great now. You need to compress the frame to the sleeve for a proper fit. FYI.

Got this and the side windbreak to go with the ARB awning which is one of the best additions to our Westy. Works great!
